Legends of Snooker: One Shot

Nice game, unfortunately the game connects to external servers (non Steam), which is strange considering the game is has no leaderboards or online play!!! what is the meaning of these connections? Also the games folder contains server configuration files with strings such as: [code] Mainsoft.Web.Security" applicationName="/" connectionStringName="LocalSqlServer" channel id="tcp server" type="System.Runtime.Remoting.Channels.Tcp.TcpServerChannel, System.Runtime.Remoting add type="System.Net.NtlmClient, System, Version=4.0.0.0 <provider id="wsdl" type="System.Runtime.Remoting.MetadataServices [/code] As the developer was not up front on the store page or within the game settings about these connections I cannot recommend, a shame as the game is pretty decent. UPDATE: RESPONSE TO DEVELOPER The issue is what your are stating is not up front on the store page or within the game menu/settings, and considering the game is not an online game, this gives reasonable concern as to why these connections are being made. Most people won't even know about these connections, however it's courteous to let the player know in advance rather than hiding it. I personally do not want my bandwidth used (no matter how big or small) without being informed upfront with a valid reason before purchase/playing, I also do not want unnecessary connections/ports open on my machine for security reasons, I did make configurations to fix that but I shouldn't have to. Not being funny but why not test the game first before release (you could use family or friends if you can't pay for testers, or put the game in early release and be up front about data collection), makes more sense :)

I was not sure whether to recommend this game in my review, but I decided not to, purely based on the fact that most of the reviews don't seem to be legit. Anyone calling it a "great snooker game" is simply wrong, as this isn't snooker. You play with an 8-Ball pool ball, on a pool table..but you unlock achievements named after snooker greats like Dennis Taylor and Stephen Hendry. Puzzling. There is a place for a trickshot style game on the market, but if such a game is made and released by people who don't know the difference between Pool and Snooker, then you can only expect it to be so good. Though I am happy to have a videogame achievement named after Dennis Taylor on my Steam profile, so that's something.

Me sinto o baianinho de Mauá, só que cotoco e das duas mãos ainda... Só tacada de qualidade e utilizando apenas a cabeça, não disse qual. Ótimo jogo
