10 years after its initial release, Legend of Kay - Anniversary is a thoroughly remastered version of the original game: high-resolution textures; new, more detailed character models; modern rendering techniques and crystal-clear surround sound give this great classic a new shine.

Я не играл в оригинал, но ремастер выглядит достойно по современным меркам. При этом есть вот этот вайб проекта времён PS2. Минус пока могу выделить только один – рандомные краши на Steam Deck, а всё же хотелось бы по возможности портатива.
ugh, thats painful
Love it, a favourite from childhood. If they could just get the cutscenes/comics working for Steam Deck as afaik that's the only problem it has on that platform then it would be perfect.
it's a good entry point for platform game. Voice over is special to say the least The camera is bad.
jesus christ its so chopped
is fun
nostalgie ten top
Please fix this game for Steam Deck. Cutscenes not working on Linux because it uses some goofy a** video library from Windows XP 💀💀💀
Look, I'm sorry, but this game simply does not respect your time. The Frog City level in particular was just not possible to complete because every frog egg is hidden behind a very frustrating challenge. The platforming sections are just not fun and the battles can get very annoying as well, especially when you have to fight 10 armored enemies without rest. And honestly, I'm not sure why the boar racing minigame was chosen to be mandatory for game progress. I know there is a lot of nostalgia and the game does start out rather charming, but it really could use some improvements in its design. I mean, retrying something once, twice maybe up to 4 or 5 times is acceptable, but when you have to try something 20 times to complete it, and everytime you fail, there is some effort needed simply to return to the start point, something has gone wrong somewhere.
wow — this game's drastically worse than i'd remembered it being when i played it as a kid lmao. why did i always seem to gravitate towards Cousin Games back then, man be warned: this release contains nearly zero quality-of-life improvements, as far as i can tell; alongside an outdated video library that apparently doesn't cooperate with Linux machines, a selection of settings that's among the most barebones i've seen from an eighth gen-era remaster, and a generally wild amount of technical dent on all fronts. all of which makes it kinda surprising that i'm more just "eh" on this game than outright hateful of it, tbh well, anyways... now that we're over ten years on from this remaster's release, i'm thinking that maybe some lucky studio should go ahead and remaster this remaster. you know there's some shut-in Kay obsessive out there, who'd really find a new lease on life through that sort of thing. just a thought :)
