This is a truly excellent client for a game I'd probably have never heard about it not for the digital release. Even outside the game being excellent, which it is, the client really charmed me with its old-school "battle for wesnoth" kinda energy. Would love to get more of my friends into this.
I love how I can rally behind my units and root for them to win. I am not the best player, yet I still have fun watching my Green Dragon gobble up 6 enemy units. And I love the creativity in the hero abilities, especially with the spellcasters. The game's flow is also well structured such that once I spent a couple hours learning the game, I had a general feel for what to play when. It can take a while to really get the hang of the game, though.
Defenetly the best card game in recent times

Fantastic game that I've been following for a couple of years at this point. Feels like MtG / Warhammer meets chess. The goal is pretty simple where you have to occupy the center at the end of the 7th round as attacker or prevent your opponent from ending in the center as the defender. Each unit has different abilities and projects different threat ranges, and the game really shines in the draft game mode. You get to pick your pieces and it's a very tense back and forth with your opponent, rapidly drafting threats, with your opponent countering them with their own. There's a lot of depth to game and you can dive in and get lost. The only warning I have is that there's a very high skill floor, where you can easily lose at draft. The positive there is that there's loads of room for improvement, if you're looking for a heavy game with good art, some great mechanics and the opportunity to grow as a player, I would happily recommend this game!
One of the few (if not the only) chess like, card tabletop board games where luck is not a factor! Highly recommended!
Nice turn-based card game. Good art. Fun gameplay. Easy on the computer system.
Great game wish they can take it farther
While I haven't played for a long time, I've seen the commitment made to this game, a project spanning several years, and the care taken in crafting a great experience. It's an easy recommend from me if it looks like your kind of game, or you're curious!
I backed the game when it was on Kickstarter some time ago and play the physical game often with a good gaming group. We love it! I'm glad it's on steam! It's coming along nicely! Great job Keith & team!!!
Tactician + Ultraknight = ez mmr
