Very gud -Pros It's cheap Lawnmower It lets me go 110kmh on a lawnmower -cons bit unclear on where you need to go ai is underwhelming
The time it took to write this review more than likely took longer than it took to get 100% in the game’s achievements. Does that mean it's bad? Kind of, I mean, YES! This is a half baked low effort game with only 4 options of lawnmowers to race with, 26 tracks that only have one lap, and a repetitive soundtrack. I tried to enjoy it, but it became quickly apparent we are dealing with some early stage or amateur development and design. The game now seems like a rough iteration of a passion project. It seems like the courses get better as you go on, but they all kind of blend in general. Ramps and jumps seem like the perfect inclusion with this game but they are grossly underused. Some of the textures flicker and I can't rationalize the placement of the floating sparkling, other than what I assume is meant to guide the player through the track, but is often weirdly placed. There is no pause screen or settings menu in the game. You get these options on the start menu: play, quit game, the options of 3 resolutions and a list of the tracks, that is it. The whole game could be massively enhanced with whackier physics, longer courses and multiple laps, variety and customization options, better soundtrack, power-ups, etc... I could think of ideas all day. The assets that the game uses are nice but everything is very rough overall, so it's hard to see past the self driving player mowers with no hands on the steering wheels, or that every player is identical. It all just feels lazy. It blows me away that not even the racetracks have more than 1 lap. Yet, the only thing you can get pride with your money is... getting 100% achievements in under 30 minutes. The variety in tracks and assets makes me think they are doing something right, but not enough at all. There are areas where you get stuck or the game starts with other players upside down, not to mention if you flip and land upside down, you cant reset or flip over, just restart. Not the absolute worst thing I have ever played, you can at least finish this game and struggle through it if you wish to play this regularly. This seems like an alpha stage game that could be good or great and for some toddler who just picked up a controller or keyboard, this might be amazing, but childs minds are still developing and growing and their sense of taste has yet to be refined. But in all seriousness there are too many glaring issues and terribly quick gameplay to recommend this to anyone who isn't looking for a quick achievement grab. So I saw this game and thought it would be pretty funny to play it together with some friends, since the price was also pretty low. We definitely wouldn't get it for the quality, because let's be honest it has been designed with the lowest amount of effort by some amateur developer. The developer did not even take the time to add a multiplayer mode at all, which completely wipes out the only possible reason for this game to be somewhat fun and to actually make a chance on the market. The AI you have to race against is just pathetic. In some maps they even spawn upside down, which immediately renders them immobile. The lawnmowers have an absurdly large collision area and make it impossible to move away from a location sometimes. Without visually touching the AI's lawnmower; they will easily bash you right off the slipperiest tracks ever, or (if you're lucky) the other way around. While this game does have quite a lot of maps, it seems that every map has been created in a rush with each one being even lower quality than the one before. The developer easily downloads a few free assets from the store and quickly creates 4 maps in a single evening that way. All they have to do is place the objects around the map, and do maybe a little bit of landscaping and painting. I guess the developer could have made a few objects themselves. There are quite a lot of simple block shaped objects and I think this developer is very much, but still surprisingly, capable of creating them. Another Fun Fact: You can't mow grass in this game. I saw someone mention this in the discussions. The developer's response simply stated: "It's a racing game not a lawn mowing game", which obviously is not a good argument because they've released other lawn mowing games which did support that. They could've just reused the script, but no... This developer is lazy. You do not make a lawn mowing game without lawn mowing. My conclusion is simple: Do not buy this and do not support this developer. If you look at the developer's page it looks like games of the same poor quality are being uploaded on a weekly schedule. Absolutely no idea why they are allowed on steam and why they get so many positive reviews. P.S.: If this developer would have just added a multiplayer mode I wouldn't have to leave such a bad review.
10//10 would recommend i liked the part with the lawnmowers
This game changed my life, my mental stability has been on an upwards spiral ever since i discovered this unique, AAA+ masterpiece. Best like $5 i ever spent.
good
Incredible! Truly a game to remember! I’ve already 100% it on stream, and I still can't stop playing it! Beware, when you start playing, you might just start having thoughts of becoming a lawnmower. You’ll begin to inhale oil like one and might even try to convince your friends to join in and race as lawnmowers too! The obsession doesn’t end there – you’ll spend all your money on pure gold to create gold barrels just to collect them for achievements. It’s pure agony, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
