Latte Stand Tycoon

Simple and engaging, well worth the price, I'd say. There are a couple of bugs - seems to crash on exit instead of exiting properly, which is fairly minor. Also a fairly serious one with buying upgrades - I was on day 20 or so and had enough money for the $450 stand upgrade, and when I bought it, I went from around $500 to -$2000. Sooo...that was a game ender, right there - couldn't buy new supplies or anything on future days. I noticed it would let you purchase to a negative, for some upgrades, but it was always fairly minor - ending at -20 or so - but this had to have been a bug. Still, fun enough for a couple of bucks. A couple of minor nitpicks - the bleep sound for selling a latte is really shrill. And though pixel art, it looks like it only has 4-5 pixels. It's pretty hard to tell what's going on during a sale day, which doesn't matter a ton, since it's just the same resources each day, really.

Zero instructions, minimalist graphics and sound, not recommended as is.

That's right, if you can't tell the story interactively through the game mechanism itself, DON'T!).[list][/list]Poorly written e-book components aside, the tycoon component has a modicum of depth as you need to get your recipe right and account for weather conditions that influence customer demand, as well as do some upgrading of your coffee stand. Having said that, it's still incredibly shallow compared to, you know, real tycoon games like the Rollercoaster games, Jurassic World, Cities Skylines, Tropico, etc etc... you know, the games this is competing on the same store with. Sure would be great for amateur devs if games existed in a vacuum. And terrible for gamers.[list][/list]From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard.[list][/list]A choice was made to use obsolete, decades old retro pixel "art" as a substitute for contemporary PC graphics. It's unclear if this is due to lack of budget or talent, regardless, the overall visual quality of the game is extremely low as a result.[list][/list]There's no options to change the resolution for the game or customise the graphics settings. There's no way for gamers to ensure this is running at the native resolution of their displays... there's no guarantee this game will look right on any PC as a result of this hamfisted design decision. There's no way for gamers to try improve the low quality graphics.[list][/list]These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game.[list][/list]The poor quality of this game is also reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 6 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from, the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected.[list][/list]Latte Stand Tycoon has the comically over-optimistic price of around $4 USD (for pixelcrap!), it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.

Очень залипательная игра - отпустило только когда все прошел. Сначала ты не понимаешь даже как сварить кофе чтобы его хоть кто-то купил и сливаешь весь стартовый капитал. Благо есть добрый дяденька, заинтересованный в твоих талантах, который не даст выпасть с рынка. Постоянно подкидывает бабло или арендует улучшения за свой счет. Потом уже ты понимаешь когда как нужно варить, закупаешься реагентами по акции. И потихоньку откладываешь на починку забора и новые окна. Время идет, ты уже идеально знаешь в какую погоду какой кофе подать, нанимаешь еще одного продавца. Жизнь наконец-то наладилась. И вот у тебя уже не крохотная кофейная лавка, не кафе, а уже целый ресторан. Твой кофе становится настолько популярным, что приходится открывать собственный сервис доставки чтобы развозить его по всему городу. Деньги текут рекой. Из минусов - игра стала зависать при закрытии и не обновляются наигранные часы в стиме. И слишком уж пикселизированная картинка - едва улавливаются очертания людей. Ладно посетители, но хотелось бы залипнуть еще и в картинку.

Das Spiel wurde von Inner Realm Studios entwickelt und von Angels And Demons am 27. Januar 2019 auf Steam, zu einem Vollpreis (VP) von 2,39€, veröffentlicht. [b] Umfang [/b] Man startet im Auftrag des Bürgermeisters mit einem kleinen Kaffee-Stand und soll die Stadt damit bereichern. Am Anfang wird einem kurz und knackig erklärt, wie alles funktioniert und wo man seine Waren kaufen kann. Es gibt drei Waren: Milch, Kaffee und Süßungsmittel. Man muss die perfekte Mischung und Temperatur für jedes Wetter finden, damit die Kunden zufrieden sind. Wer am Anfang ein bisschen Hilfe brauch kann sich die Tipps durchlesen. Dort werden ungefähr die besten Mischungen und die Emotes der Kunden erklärt. Außerdem muss man sein Haus wiederaufbauen, um später weitere Upgrades freizuschalten. Alle Upgrades hat man leider sehr schnell gekauft und dann spielt man nach ca. zwei Stunden nur noch den Endless-Modus. Da fehlt es deutlich an weiteren Spielmodi. Wie wäre es, weitere Städte mit Kaffee zu versorgen, oder – auch wenn es „Latte Stand Tycoon“ heißt – andere Kaffee-Sorten zu verkaufen? Ich habe schon gelesen, dass es zukünftig noch einen Hardcore-Modus geben soll, der das Verkaufen erschweren soll. [b] Grafik [/b] Die Grafik von „Latte Stand Tycoon“ ist im Pixelart-Stil gehalten. Die unterschiedlichen Wettereffekte, vor allem Schneefall, sehen gut aus. Auch wären des Sturms sieht man die Bäume im Hintergrund stark wanken, was ein schönes Feature ist. Auch die Leuchteffekte sind sehr gut und das Gesamtbild kann man als sehr gut bewerten. [b] Spielspaß [/b] „Latte Stand Tycoon“ macht, zumindest für mich, nicht so viel Spaß. Man macht nicht viel, außer die perfekte Mischung herauszufinden, Ware einzukaufen, zwischendurch Kaffee aufzukochen und ab und zu einige Upgrades zu kaufen. Wenn man die Mischung um 0,5 Punkte Milch z.B. versaut, kaufen gar keine Kunden mehr ein, was einfach frustrierend ist. Es könnte wenigstens ein Fünftel der Personen einen Kaffee kaufen, aber diesen als schlecht bewerten. Ich finde es fehlt an Interaktionen. Warum kann man nicht mit der Verkäuferin reden? Mehrere Kaffee-Sorten, würde das Spiel umfangreicher und spaßiger werden. [b] Musik [/b] Im Hintergrund hört man bei „Latte Stand Tycoon“ ein paar Melodien, die meiner Meinung nach gut hineinpassen. [b] Sound [/b] Also, der Sound des Kaffeebrühens ist sowie die Hintergrundgeräusche sehr gut. Was mir aber so gar nicht gefällt, sind die Sprech-Sounds. Sie sind viel zu übersteuert und es tut einfach nur weh in den Ohren. [b] Preis-Leistung [/b] Für 2,39€ erwartet man nicht viel, aber es fehlt trotzdem an Umfang und die Sounds müssen ein bisschen nachgebessert werden. Latte Stand Tycoon is a very interesting concept, I've always enjoyed tycoon style games and this promises to eventually be one I would spend a lot of time on. Right now however, it is often difficult to read what the customers are trying to tell you and if you mess up and create a latte no one wants to buy then you are stuck waiting the day out with no obvious way to skip. It's interesting and cute but needs a little more fine tuneing

After not having sold a single latte in almost a hour of play, I looked for clarifications online. Apparently the gameplay consists of guessing the right amounts of coffee, milk and spice. The in-game hints as to how to do it are unclear to the least. Really bad game design.
