Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.13/day in the week to Jul 21 → 6/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
Nice.
First things first: The game is full of beautiful details and ideas - and it shows. The game is fun! Nice and unexpected story twists, many different options to set up your squads and to go on your journey. Visually well done, nice aesthetics, pretty FX, and great audio. The 2D concept art is well done and takes many influences from Jakub Rozalski and the likes. Well done. However - the mechanics are often lacking, and gravely so. Pathfinding of units is sometimes catastrophic, the vehicles are just broken, and don't get me started on the trucks... jeepers creepers. The unit spec screens are overburdened with decoratif swirls and painterly elements... which add density and to the aesthetic, but are messing with transparency and understandability. How do I get this and that infantryman/woman to perk up this and get better there? What's with the role cards? Same goes for the combat - distances and detection are sometimes wonky, line of sight is not always clear, cover mechanics are inconsistent and yeah... I wish some artistic effort cold have been diverted to polishing the gameplay. When your hear the RAISE THE ALARM! RAISEEEE THE ALAAAAARM!-shout for the 20th time in a mission, you will wish for a little more variance in the recording studio as I did ;) If you can live with those things, go for it. Especially around the 15-20€$-marker, it is well worth the money. Enjoy!

Well thought out and very fun game. The story is gripping and really pulled me in. The mechanics of the game are very entertaining and create a real desire to finish, but do so carefully with planning. I would highly recommend.
A decent game. Nice blend between tactic and strategic gameplay.
It's okay. Oddly similar to a lot of other games like Frostpunk, This War of Mine, Company of Heroes, Men of War, and others like them. Overall it's an average resource manager and an average RTS combined into one and topped off with an above average niche story. It's an alright 20 - 30 hours but it starts off pretty slow and grows tedious pretty quick. If you like the history/setting then pick it up, otherwise there is no shortage of other games that do what Last Train Home does better.
Great Game!
