Reviews
If you've bounced off other ARPGs because of aggressive monetization, Last Epoch is a breath of fresh air. Think of it as Undecember done right — same addictive itemization and build-crafting loop, but without the pay-to-win pressure. Cosmetics are purely optional shoppable skins, and everything that actually matters (loot, classes, skill trees, endgame content) is earned through play, not your wallet. 🎮 Gameplay The combat has that classic Diablo-style satisfaction — fast, fluid, and endlessly replayable thanks to the deep skill tree and passive systems for every class. Build variety here is genuinely impressive; you can respec freely and experiment without fear of "wasting" your character. 👥 Multiplayer This is where the game really shines. Grinding the campaign and pushing Monoliths of Fate with friends is a blast — the difficulty scales well, loot feels rewarding for the whole group, and there's zero friction from microtransactions getting in the way of a fair, fun co-op experience. 💰 Monetization Refreshingly consumer-friendly. No loot boxes, no pay-to-win shortcuts, no FOMO battle passes. Just optional cosmetic skins if you want to support the devs or stand out visually. This alone puts it miles ahead of most live-service ARPGs on the market. ✅ Pros Deep, satisfying build customization Great co-op experience with friends Fair, non-predatory monetization Diablo-like combat feel with its own identity ⚠️ Cons Story/campaign pacing can feel slow early on UI could use some polish in places Final Verdict: A must-play for ARPG fans who want that Diablo/Undecember itch scratched without the microtransaction fatigue. Grab it with a couple of friends and you'll easily sink hundreds of hours in. 🔥

Great game. Plenty of skill tree depth without getting overwhelming, Many things to make dead.
Best aRPG i've played thus far. And i tried d2r, PoE, Grim Dawn, Torchlight. - Very flexible build making, - No focusing on 1 skill like d2, (you can specialize on 5 skills) and use/swap any skill you have unlocked - Nice and responsive combat, mobs flinch from hits - Not as complex as poe/ not as primitive as torchlight. - Doesn't look like a cartoony garbage (Torch) Game DOES have paid premium? classes, so be aware. That said - even if you play through the story ONCE - you should get enough hours/content for your money already. And if you explore every char (5 total) - well, that will stretch gameplay that much more.

I’ve spent a good amount of time with Last Epoch now, and overall I think it’s a really solid ARPG that I’ll keep coming back to each season. That said, I’m still a bit hesitant to fully recommend it in its current state. The core of the game is genuinely great. Build variety is strong, the skill system is flexible without being overwhelming, and crafting feels rewarding instead of frustrating. It’s one of the few ARPGs where experimenting actually feels worth your time. Where things get a bit iffy for me is the monetization. I get what they’re going for, but I’m not convinced it’s a great long-term fit. A one-time purchase combined with mostly cosmetic sales feels shaky when you consider how much ongoing support a game like this needs. The cosmetic shop itself is fine in theory, but in practice it’s just not that compelling. In a game like this, you don’t really notice cosmetics all that much, and I imagine most players won’t spend heavily on them. That makes the whole model feel like it relies too much on a small group of players, which isn’t ideal, especially since player numbers naturally go up and down over time. Personally, I’d much rather see proper paid expansions down the line. I’d happily pay for meaningful content drops if it helps keep development healthy. But before that, there are still some rough edges and systems that could use more work. That said, I do recommend the game. I enjoy it, I’ll keep supporting it, and I really hope the developers continue improving it over time, especially when it comes to finding a monetization model that feels both fair for players and sustainable for the game long-term.
Que jogo maravilhoso, não dá nem pra sentir o tempo passando, esse sistema de especialidades que cada classe tem muda totalmente o estilo de jogo. 10/10 🔥

My hot take. I don't really care that the new class is going to cost money. In today's market game studios have to make money. I'd much rather have a great ARPG like this. As long as they don't get too crazy with pricing I would much rather they add paid premium content. Last Epoch is by far my favorite ARPG. It's the perfect amount of build flexibility and complexity without being too boring or too difficult to get creative but viable builds. I definitely get why the community is upset. It sucks when a dev says one thing and does another later on. But looking at other studios that have promised games and never delivered or the final product is garbage, at least this is a VERY good ARPG. I can't fault them for trying to keep their business afloat. That said I think going forward they are going to need to be really careful about how they communicate with the player base. If you are on the fence about this one and seeing the review bombs just know, the game is great. The dev communication and monetization aren't the best. But it's way better than D4 and a lot more enjoyable to try new builds than PoE. I prefer to mostly play my ARPGs Solo self found and like to work out creative or weird builds. The only games I've found that really work well with this playstyle are Grim dawn and Last Epoch.
