After completing mundane tasks and 85% of the gameplay being cutscenes, what felt like a long build-up / introduction was, in reality, the whole game itself. The story leads to only a few minutes of actual tense gameplay, which is someone chasing you in a dark maze.. Then it ends in a very anti-climactic way. The game had potential.
Very Underrated
Really enjoyed this! Took about an hour to 100% all achievements and see both endings. (There is a chapter select screen after finishing the game for convenient achievement cleanup) It's an entertaining albeit tropey slasher story with low-poly styled graphics. I recommend viewing both endings, the "bad" one was a lot more fun IMO!
HAD MANY ISSUES MANY MANY MANY ISSUES. first time i tried playing it was in complete german or something and wouldnt let me switch it second time it softlocked me at the gasstation (no quicksave) so i had to restart then half way through the first chapter got softlocked again because their pause menu can just randomly make the game not work. then i had to close my game which put me back to the last save 45 minutes prior. MAKE QUICK SAVES A THING FOR FAILSAFES PLEASE MY GOD. also the dialog is lowkey awful. especially ALAN. dont play this game save yourself time
🎃 Laser Tag Massacre
E funziona, sorprendentemente bene.
👣 Gameplay essenziale, atmosfera dominante
Consigliato. 🔪 A simple idea, rendered surprisingly effectively Five friends, Halloween, an abandoned arcade. A masked killer who turns a laser tag game into a manhunt. The plot is minimal, but the direction —yes, direction — is surprisingly well done: tight shots, acidic neon, guessed environments. The game doesn't try to be realistic, of course: it tries to be memorable. And he succeeds. 🕹️ PS1 Aesthetics Low-poly graphics are not a cosmetic trick: they are a choice of language, they are identity. The world is dirty, grainy, unstable. The laser tag lights become cuts of color that look like something out of a digital nightmare. It's a game that doesn't want to imitate the PS1: it wants to be a possessed PS1. 👣 Essential gameplay, dominant atmosphere There are no complex mechanics: here you explore, you escape, you survive. The pace is slow, but the tension is constant. Every step in the arcade feels like a step inside a wrong memory. The killer isn't particularly innovative, but he's beautifully staged: sudden appearances, disturbing silhouettes, rigid movements that seem like glitches. 🎭 Originality: His Best Weapon The most surprising thing is how original the game manages to be despite using familiar elements: slasher years ’80, neon, arcade, masks, VHS, PS1 aesthetics. Yet everything is edited with a particular, almost authorial taste. ⭐ Overall rating: medium good, but with style Laser Tag Massacre is not a masterpiece, it is not a huge game, it is not a revolutionary experience. But it is particular, thoughtful, coherent, and above all original. A slasher horror who knows exactly what he wants to be and does so with a personality rare in the indie scene. Short, intense, visually unique. An experience that remains imprinted more by the way it is told than by what it tells. Recommended.

Randomizing and clearing my backlog - 48/343 I love 80's horror trash games. But this took way too long to even have anything happen. The cutscenes were excruciatingly long, with little to nothing in between in regards to gameplay. There's too many good B list horror games to play, skip this one.
