About
You crash at the base of a Metra mountain that does not let you climb it quietly. Your goal is at the peak.
Each run takes you through a mix of explorable areas, tight paths, and brutal arena fights. One moment you’re scouting ahead and choosing your route — the next you’re locked in, surrounded, and forced to fight your way out.
Shape your play-style through the gear you find and the combinations you create — from controlled, precise combat to overwhelming, screen-filling destruction.
Fight alongside companions you can actively command, turning every encounter into a mix of action and control.
You don’t pick a class. You build one.
Your build defines how you fight.
Combine runes and items to create devastating interactions.
Build up your Fury in battle — then unleash massive rune-based attacks.
Chain reactions that turn simple attacks into explosive combos.
You don’t fight alone — and you can be in control. Recruit companions with distinct roles and direct their actions in combat. Some are great at holding enemies in place. Others at supporting, disrupting, or dealing heavy damage. The right combination lets you control the flow of battle — or push it into chaos.
Send them to engage or reposition.
Coordinate attacks around your build.
Use them to control space or pressure enemies.
Or let them do their own thing without issuing commands.
Set the foundation of your build before the climb — then shape it as you fight, earning rewards from each run to unlock new skills (cartridges) and be better prepared for the next ascent.
Gather ingredients, and craft powerful items to enhance your combat.
The mountain changes, you evolve.
Explore the forests, caverns and frozen peaks.
Procedurally generated levels make every run unique.
Battle bandits, ratfolk, undead, dinofolk, golems, and more.
Survive challenging battles against powerful bosses.
Unlock new items, skills and companions.
Compete in daily runs to earn your place on the leaderboards.
Only fury will carry you to the peak.

Do you miss nostalgic gaming? Nights where your hand wasn't held and Adventure meant dying until you get it right!? Thankfully Lands Of Fury delivers that in SPADES as you progress through procedurally generated Levels, Boss Challenges and summoning a pack of rats to do YOUR bidding! As you play more, your reactions become faster, your knowledge of Runic Combinations become more lethal, and oops... its been hours! Great art, a creative Developer, and an Elven Bow that will literally mow down fiends who stand in your way! Wishlist today to support a 'Souls-like' Roguelite that will leave you thinking about how much you want to beat the crap out of it!
It's finally here! I've been a playtester for the past 2 months or so, and I have around 50 hours total in the demo/playtest, so I might be a bit biased, but here are my most honest thoughts. This game has a TON of mechanics. There is so much nuance, and sooo much room for expansion. The game is difficult, and forces you to adapt on the fly. I would say the biggest downfall is the amount of content (weapons, events, items, etc.), but this is the thing that my man HyperFox has been cranking out almost every day on stream for MONTHS now. Positives: - Extreme mechanical depth (random events, dash damage boosting, feeding animals, weakness exploiting, crafting, companion upgrades, item and weapon effects, rune passives, you name it) - many different playstyles, several cartridge combinations that you get to mash together to make your own class, all by yourself - around 20-30 hours of playtime to unlock and experience all of the content - unique gameplay, I can't really say that this style is emulating any other game I've played before - cute art style, fun mix of graphical intent with nice high fidelity effects on consistent pixel art - optional leaderboards with daily runs that include a number of try-hards to try and best! Negatives: - Plenty of bugs! This is what Early Access is for, and Filip has shown that he will crank out numerous bugs on stream. I submitted around 50ish bugs/suggestions myself, and a DECENT chunk of those have been squashed. - Not as much content as these mechanics deserve. There is room for a LOT more weapon and rune and cart variations. Odds are, right now you'll find maybe 4 or 5 weapons that feel REALLY good, and runs depend on getting RNG to aim towards those. Again, this is something HyperFox Filip has shown that he works on consistently. - Balancing is VERY difficult if you don't understand the mechanics. Especially around the 3rd Biome, difficulty really ramps up. All in all, I give this game a recommend even in its Early Access state, but it definitely does fit the bill for Early Access. As this game grows horizontally, you are going to be able to get a LOOOT more gameplay out of it, if you wish. Bug reports, weapon and item suggestions, and any other feedback will surely propel this game into a new light. Proud to be an early adopter of this game, so happy for its release!!
I first discovered this game by watching its creator on YouTube develop it. I found it very interesting because he was not only creating a game but also sharing his knowledge and helping others who want to learn game development. My first experience with the game was through the demo version, which immediately caught my attention. The introduction is very engaging and offers a lot of interaction right from the start. The game provides many different options when it comes to weapons, upgrades, and gaining experience points, which makes the gameplay even more immersive and enjoyable. I also find the Daily Run mode very interesting, especially for experienced players who can use it to showcase their skills and compete with others. As a beginner, I find the game quite challenging, but that is part of what makes it exciting. I am definitely looking forward to spending more time with it and trying to complete it in the future. Overall, this is a fun and engaging game with a lot of depth, and I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys this type of gameplay.
Lands of Fury

Note: I received this game for free as part of the Steam Curators program. Check out our page for more reviews! Lands of Fury offers a fresh take on roguelike-dungeon crawler combo genre with how the areas are laid out with dungeons opening up within in each in order to progress. In order to move from region to region, you need to explore the one you're in, uncover the "stepping stones" (if there's an appropriate in-game name for these, it's slipping my mind) in order to reveal the dungeon. Once you defeat the hordes of enemies (wave style arena combat) within, the passage to the next area unlocks. While I don't have a ton of time in this yet (I do have some extra offline with my Deck, but still not a ton), I'm definitely looking forward to more - maybe I'll get better as my time goes up and I unlock more equipment/runes/upgrades! 😅 With that, here are some positives aspects and some critiques/wishes: Positives:

Playstyle variety - between the weapons, runes, cartridges, and companions available, there are plenty of options to differentiate the runs, if desired
Aesthetics - I'm a sucker for pixel style but LoF does it well, especially on the small scale for the various characters!
Gameplay aspects - kind of inline with the playstyle variety above, but a few extra concepts are included here, such as crafting and in-run upgrades
Steam Deck support - self-explanatory
Responsive dev - several updates of varying sizes in the month-ish since its Early Access launch on top of comments/activity in the Discussion threads
Critiques/wishes (personal):

Money management - there are numerous instances where merchants pop up in the regions and arena dungeons, but in order to sell items for more money, you need to use a Pawn Shrine. However, those aren't always available so you may get to a merchant, want an item they have, but can't afford it because you can't sell any of your items to them (even at less than full value)
Difficulty/balancing - this is one that I'm sure will iron itself out as I get more time under my belt, but there seems to be big spikes in difficulty as you advance between regions and causes the player (or at least me) to stall a bit
All in all, I think Lands of Fury is worth checking out for someone looking for a new roguelike to try out! It plays very smoothly on Deck as well! Looking forward to the updates to come!
Having played developers previous title, Reynard, I can confidently say that this one is waaaaay better. It's clear that dev learned from his previous game and put even more work into this one. Yes, it needs more work, but the potential is there. At this stage, the game runs smoothly and does not feel like a rushed early access title. Overall, I would recommend it !

As a complete beginner to gaming, I find this game relaxing, nice pixel art, good soundtrack, and variety of mechanics. I enjoy playing on easy mode, fighting some enemies, and smashing things all around the map. Overall, it seems nice and enjoyable to play.
Don't let the low play time fool you. Was playing the playtest and demo versions before the early access release. Fun little game. At first glance, it looks like a fairly standard roguelite, but the deeper you get into its systems, the more you realize how hilariously broken some builds can become. Experimenting, finding crazy synergies, and absolutely steamrolling runs is a blast. If you enjoy roguelites and love breaking games with overpowered builds, definitely pick this one up.
