About
Challenge your piloting skills in a seaplane focused flight simulator that takes place in a persistent world where you are responsible for the care and maintenance of your plane. Parts wear out and must be replaced. Otherwise, you risk in-flight failures. At its heart, Lakehopper is a flight simulator, with a physics-based flight model that aims to be realistic and challenging.
Fly between isolated communities in a flooded, rugged landscape that only seaplanes can serve. Deliver cargo and help connect towns separated by huge distances of nothing but mountains and open stretches of water. Use your skills as a pilot, and the navigational tools at your disposal, to hop between far-flung destinations. Keep your deliveries safe in unforgiving terrain and treacherous waters. Learn intricately simulated plane systems that are a mix of the familiar and the near-future.

Assemble your twin engine flying boat seaplane from 100+ parts.
Walk around inside your plane! Being in a vehicle doesn't simply lock you into the pilot's seat, even while flying. Roam around the plane, do in-flight repairs, and reconfigure systems. Just watch your step and keep the door closed!
Refuel your plane and deliver cargo to isolated communities around the region.
Detailed plane subsystems with start-up sequences that require attention to detail.
Complex water physics for seaplanes that float, take off, and land like real seaplanes!

Fly across and explore a mountainous, flooded 360,000 square km (140,000 square mi) map.
Realistic terrain based on real world landscapes.

The game doesn't end just because your flight does. Each flight informs the next!
Check the condition of individual plane parts and replace them before they cause in-flight failures... or don't!
Track jobs, run checklists, look up navigational info, and reference assembly instructions with the in-game reference binder.
Support for gamepads, joysticks, yokes, throttle quadrants, and many common flight sim peripherals with detailed control rebinding options.

This is a tough one...in it's current state it doesn't really have replayability...in about 4 hours you are done...but this is a diamond in the rough, that is why i will give it a thumbs up. I really hope this game will prosper and have a great story like interation with people that need deliveries and you will get them there...making money in the meantime...upgrading and maintaining your plane and transport company....
I think the idea here was good but this is no way near ready for putting out to the public. I get that it's early access and you'd expect some bugs but...oh my gosh it was unplayable. I couldn't even build the plane, the pieces just wouldn't stick together. Absolutely horrible. It's not worth parting with cash right now for this - wait until it gets more developed first.
A fairly user friendly soft flight sim. I would love to see some sort of economy that incentivizes the player to deliver cargo. Perhaps upgrades, making replacement parts have a cost, etc. I hope more destinations are added into the already huge map. Having to navigate with VOR and a map is really neat. The engine build procedure is a good method to introduce the player on how assembly works, but the procedure for the fuel and whatnot could be a little bit more in depth (though it is very simple to figure out). Taking off is definitely very choppy and can be quite difficult to control, but once you have your trim figured out it's a bit better. I can't wait to see more!
I enjoy the premise of of the game, I do. To build and manage your own plane for package delivery.| What I don't like is the simulation. From what I saw of the trailers, I was expecting just a simple flight game. That all you have to worry about is delivering boxes and managing your plane. It is so difficult to take off that you're better off just taxiing to your destinations than bothering to take off.
Good, AMD soft keeps crashing while running it, no clue why but it might need an optimization or some patches but good progress regardless. I just cant recommend yet until stability improves. So much potential though.
nice peaceful plane building and delivery missions. i'm sure theres more to come too, well recommended
Still very early in development, but heading in a promising direction.
too hard navigation is too hard and you lose track of where u are
firstly, this is an EARLY access game. dont let that stop you from hopping on the good price, and enjoying it. it's getting strong updates, and has a basic foundation beating most AAA flight games. I have ZERO doubt that one day soon i will be like an addict, shaking when i dont get to make a seaplane delivery at least every 24 hrs. this IS the game you're looking for. for what it's worth i dont have a hotas and i find it fine to play. ALSO currently runs on wine fine.
