About
Challenge your piloting skills in a seaplane focused flight simulator that takes place in a persistent world where you are responsible for the care and maintenance of your plane. Parts wear out and must be replaced. Otherwise, you risk in-flight failures. At its heart, Lakehopper is a flight simulator, with a physics-based flight model that aims to be realistic and challenging.
Fly between isolated communities in a flooded, rugged landscape that only seaplanes can serve. Deliver cargo and help connect towns separated by huge distances of nothing but mountains and open stretches of water. Use your skills as a pilot, and the navigational tools at your disposal, to hop between far-flung destinations. Keep your deliveries safe in unforgiving terrain and treacherous waters. Learn intricately simulated plane systems that are a mix of the familiar and the near-future.

Assemble your twin engine flying boat seaplane from 100+ parts.
Walk around inside your plane! Being in a vehicle doesn't simply lock you into the pilot's seat, even while flying. Roam around the plane, do in-flight repairs, and reconfigure systems. Just watch your step and keep the door closed!
Refuel your plane and deliver cargo to isolated communities around the region.
Detailed plane subsystems with start-up sequences that require attention to detail.
Complex water physics for seaplanes that float, take off, and land like real seaplanes!

Fly across and explore a mountainous, flooded 360,000 square km (140,000 square mi) map.
Realistic terrain based on real world landscapes.

The game doesn't end just because your flight does. Each flight informs the next!
Check the condition of individual plane parts and replace them before they cause in-flight failures... or don't!
Track jobs, run checklists, look up navigational info, and reference assembly instructions with the in-game reference binder.
Support for gamepads, joysticks, yokes, throttle quadrants, and many common flight sim peripherals with detailed control rebinding options.

its like sailwind but airplanes. There needs to be some reason to fly theses packages. I flew the VOR and made it to first destination but you just turn in crates that disappear and give you nothing? Need more for me to come back and play more. Needs alot more buildings or landmarks as well and a reason to keep playing. Otherwise im parked in the hanger until i see an update!
Multiplayer would make this so fun. I think this game just needs some more plane options, difficulty/complexity options for more parts and switches and stuff, which could be with more plane options, and some more goals rather than just carrying cargo, and some cosmetics. And things to do during flight would be nice.

certified "forget about the game until some huge update happens and then play it for 500 hours because its actually really cool" classic genuinely though, this game IS really cool it just needs a bit extra in it's current state
my computer crashed and ran the speed uf a ded putao
An excellent foundation to build onto a great concept. I personally LOVE these types of games (I'm a big advocate of passionate indie dev projects in general), with like 600 hours on games like American Truck Sim and a library full of niche simulator games that I've got various amounts of time in, the relaxed waiting and the journey is part of the experience to me, even if not a whole lot is happening actively. This pretty much is targeted directly at people like me, who find appeal in the process itself, rather than what the result of that process might be. If that isn't for you, then this will not be what you enjoy, and that's okay! :) Niche games are my gaming butter and bread. I really didn't find myself with much downtime anyway as I was checking navigation dials, watching the horizon for landmass landmarks to navigate by, admiring said horizon, and adjusting things. I can't really offer any true complaints either, because everything I saw was "I can see where this could be expanded and built onto for more depth", rather than experiencing any issues or judging the emptier features as they currently are. For example, the lack of weather dynamics, additions to the world to make it feel more lived in, etc., the jobs you complete mean nothing at this current stage, there is no money or reward incentive for delivering said cargo, your reward right now is the journey and experience. All of these things will enhance the overall feel and fun if added or expanded upon, but none of these things are inherently complaints, just "I am ready for more." Which is good! The manuals are easy to understand, and the flight process is easy to learn and understand, but difficult to master, which is a great balance. I feel strongly that while as with all EA games there are other aspects that can be tweaked to add to the process, the core of this is solidly built and well thought out. I had a very stable experience as well. I experienced no bugs, I never once felt like I was fighting the game or controls, rather I was making my own mistakes. The physics simulation, the flight simulation, and the feeling I got from being cramped into a tiny metal box 5000 feet in the sky feels REALLY good for a game at this stage of development, so I commend the developer for the work already done. I'm excited to see how this develops to enhance the experience, but even as is, I felt like I got my value from the current price tag. Highly recommend this to anyone who is like me, and loves the experience this is bringing to the table and the promise of more. With a passionate developer, and a dedicated supportive community, the game has the potential to reach great heights! (See what I did there?) 10/10 Would nosedive into the ocean again.
great game for training pilots the basics of aviation, insanely realistic
You know a simulator is "great" when they go so far down a rabbit hole that flying a plane in GTA V still feels better.
Cool game, would've liked more places to visit and maybe some different cargo, but other then that I like the idea of it and think the aircraft is pretty detailed, cant wait to see what comes next!!
this game is so dang good and has huge potential but right now it kinda lacks motive so usually I stop playing after one flight. I think once a bigger map and a motive for flying or doing jobs is added I'll have an even better time playing this game.
Lustiges Spiel, ich hoffe das in Zukunft noch mehr Orte und vielleicht noch andere Ladungen oder Flugzeugerweiterungen. Das Spiel hat mega Potenzial.
