About
Challenge your piloting skills in a seaplane focused flight simulator that takes place in a persistent world where you are responsible for the care and maintenance of your plane. Parts wear out and must be replaced. Otherwise, you risk in-flight failures. At its heart, Lakehopper is a flight simulator, with a physics-based flight model that aims to be realistic and challenging.
Fly between isolated communities in a flooded, rugged landscape that only seaplanes can serve. Deliver cargo and help connect towns separated by huge distances of nothing but mountains and open stretches of water. Use your skills as a pilot, and the navigational tools at your disposal, to hop between far-flung destinations. Keep your deliveries safe in unforgiving terrain and treacherous waters. Learn intricately simulated plane systems that are a mix of the familiar and the near-future.

Assemble your twin engine flying boat seaplane from 100+ parts.
Walk around inside your plane! Being in a vehicle doesn't simply lock you into the pilot's seat, even while flying. Roam around the plane, do in-flight repairs, and reconfigure systems. Just watch your step and keep the door closed!
Refuel your plane and deliver cargo to isolated communities around the region.
Detailed plane subsystems with start-up sequences that require attention to detail.
Complex water physics for seaplanes that float, take off, and land like real seaplanes!

Fly across and explore a mountainous, flooded 360,000 square km (140,000 square mi) map.
Realistic terrain based on real world landscapes.

The game doesn't end just because your flight does. Each flight informs the next!
Check the condition of individual plane parts and replace them before they cause in-flight failures... or don't!
Track jobs, run checklists, look up navigational info, and reference assembly instructions with the in-game reference binder.
Support for gamepads, joysticks, yokes, throttle quadrants, and many common flight sim peripherals with detailed control rebinding options.

This game is great! Very relaxing and shows a lot of potential. I look forward to seeing more aircraft, mission variety, and destinations (preferably more short hop options). Definitely pick this game up and check in on it as it gets developed!
This game has a lot of potential, but at this stage I can't recommend it. I really enjoyed building all of the pieces and assembling the plane. I followed all of the checklists. I've played quite a few flight sims so I know at least the basics of flying a plane. Yet with that one all I could do is careen wildly across the lake mostly completely out of control. I managed almost 50 knots once, which unfortunately isn't anywhere near the 70 knots needed for rotation, so for almost half an hour I spent my time stopping, trying to get lined back up with the long direction of the lake and heading out again, only for the plane to almost immediately start spinning uncontrollably across the lake regardless of control inputs. I really hope the physics on this can be adjusted, maybe then it'll be playable.
great so far just need to find something other then my key bord to fly
Very fun game, not a high learning curve. Has a lot of potential.

great potential! love the slower and more realistic approach.
I love this game. It has so much potential. After learning by error, I finally was able to fly using VOR Navigation and find the other places. I recommend setting 'SENSITIVITY' for the 'L' Joystick to as low as possible. That smooths out the X-Box Controller flight controls. The highest altitude attained so far is FL 12,000 feet, set prop at 75% and had an airspeed of 165 kt.s level flight. Best decent speed for 1200 feet per minute is 155. Be prepared to adjust 'Roll Trim' as engine torque affects yaw and roll. Callouts: 30* Flaps : V1 - 65 VR - 68 V2 - 71 - ish.
Excellent and simple bush/waterborn plane simulation. You first have to assemble your airplane engine and systems and then install it all on the airframe. You have to maintain the engine parts and refuel. You have basic OBS/VOR navigation to remote villages among the island chains. The map is modeled off of the areas around Seattle Washington up to BC Canada and are very convincing. I do wish the sim contained some of the major cities in the region as they do have seaplane bases in real life. The sim just got an update with a new free 2nd plane, A Beaver. Highly recommended.
This game absolutely scratches the flight game itch. It's way simpler than a sim but deep enough to be engaging to fly and the flight mechanics are fun (Realistic? I have no idea) It's kind of like a job simcade, like Sailwind or Trucking games. However; it is still very early in development and there is not a lot of gameplay yet, the package delivery system is very basic and there are no rewards or penalties for delivering packages. The repair and maintanance mechanics seem okay but they are also very much a WIP and I can't tell if damage is even working yet. This game has so much potential and I will recommend an early buy if it is still in active development when you are looking at it.
