Lady Death Demonicron

I dont understand why people are hating this game for being repetitive, its a beat em up that is a staple of the genre especially the older ones which this is based on. i had a good time with it and and would recommend it to anyone who likes this style of game.

I've been playing since beta and now that it's fully out I'm absolutely loving it. Highly recommend if you like beat em ups.

Needs some work I'm using the ps5 controller and I have to make sure I'm facing the way I want to attack not just pushing the button that direction and attaching. but so far its entertaining wish it was more but might get that in story mode? I like the side scroll reminds me of the old days with street fighter.

I was waiting for this game ever since the Kickstarter launch and I can happily say that I am thrilled with the release! This is exactly what I was hoping for from being a Lady Death comic book fan! Visually this is just stunning and in my opinion love how the game plays. There are a decent amount of moves to be mastered etc. and cannot wait to perfect them all!! This brought back an old time gamer who hasn’t played video games in quite some time and I am thrilled to be back!! Also, I will say that Art of Play’s responsiveness to feedback has been amazing!! You can tell that they truly care about their beautiful release… Lady Death Demonicron #Sworn ! I can’t wait for future Art of Play’s releases !!

Fair warning, I was a [i]Kickstarter[/i] backer for this title. I recommend it, but with a hefty asterisk attached to that. A Lady Death beat 'em up should be a perfect match. She's a hot kick ass character, the music does fit, & the overkills a pretty varied & appropriately bloody. During this playthrough a also saw at least one move that seemed to be hidden (AKA not in the moves guide). I do like the hidden knick knacks to be found in some of the levels. For a beat 'em up its the appropriate length of time to finish. The problem is the the game felt really stiff with the controls. If all your lives are lost, you begin from the start of the level. I despised that with the [i]Mega Man[/i] series, I despise it here. While the designs are good, there's little in the way of them being fluid. Another reviewer said that the game looks &/or feels like a flash game, I'm inclined to agree. Play this game after it's gotten at least one more patch &/or the price has gone down.

Being a Lady Death fan was enough to make me want this game. It is what you would expect from an arcade style side scrolling beat em up. Love the soundtrack, combat and move set is simple to learn but spamming the attack button while trying to change direction is not recommended. Graphics and gore in my opinion is good for a comic book based game. Not much by way of extra content or replay value and arcade mode was more or less a chapter select. It still has some bugs to iron out and did obtain all achievements in 6.5 hours. Fans of the franchise and this style of game I believe will enjoy this, I like the game myself but would recommend waiting for a special.

A honest message to all complaining about the price tag: Yes, 35 bucks is overpriced for what it is. However, its based on an iconic comic figure "Lady Death" which means royalty fees. And it has licensed heavy metal music, which adds atmosphere and also more royalty fees. But the game itself is very good, the sound, the animations, the uncensored stuff, the gameplay, the voice acting - its worth the asking price. A lot of us complain about game's industry going woke (rightfully). But when a developer comes along being based and giving us a decent game, nobody supports it. This game absolutely deserves to get supported, by my opinion. If you want things to make a move back towards normality, consider supporting this. Try to see it this way: Paying 35 bucks for this is still better than buying Sweet Babie's infused Soy-verine on PS5. Just my two cents, thank you.
