About
Skullhunter is about a skeleton’s journey to retrieve his skull, and help Wally the Worm get his family back, who was living in his skull until they were kidnapped.
You control the skeleton as he rebuilds his body with weaponized limbs and powerful skulls. More powerful weaponry often requires the completion of side quests, from a multitude of NPCs, to acquire items. Skulls are gotten by hunting the very powerful bosses, and after defeating them, you can wear their heads as your own! These give you a multitude of unique powers, changing your playstyle and helping you beat the 13 unique bosses (including 4 mini-bosses), each with their own unique theme song!
Keyboard controls: wasd/arrow keys to move, e to access equipment, left mouse button to select and attack, and b to advance text.
X box controls: left stick to move, right stick to aim and move selection, rb to select and attack, b to advance text, and start to access equipment.
This game includes a strategic feature of tombstones, which manipulate combat, and also hold any skulls you may have lost on your journey. Each time you die, you leave behind a wall of a tombstone that only you can destroy!

Choose your mode of playing out of: fontanelle, normal, radiation +, zero cell, and Super Baby Playtime Mode!!!!! The recommended mode for a first time player with lower top down adventure fighting experience is fontanelle, where you can get hit one extra time. For experienced players, normal mode is a good introduction into the merciless game. Radiation + mode gives certain creatures improved attacks, leading to more intense situations, and Zero Cell mode destroys some of the Cell Towers, areas that Wally can bring you back to respawn. These two modes are good for a second run through the game if you are looking for a challenge (but if you can handle them, all modes are unlocked to begin the game). Super Baby Playtime mode is good for… well, babies of course! (or people who have never played a fast-paced video game before.) You can always change the mode when continuing after closing the game, so don’t feel stuck to one mode!
(Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

First time ever writing a game review because this game absolutely deserves it. I was surprised how ridiculously fun and addictive this game is. Each level is pure hilarious chaos with kickass main characters (a skeleton and your worm guide) and awesome boss characters. The songs pump me up to the point I need the soundtrack when i hit the gym. Geckopaw games please put the OST on spotify or make the songs downloadable! The action is nonstop, the artwork has this nostalgic yet fresh vibe. Weapons are various skeleton armaments and various skulls. Honestly, indie games don’t get much better than this. I've already put in a bunch of hours and the game keeps up the momentum each level. Also, it worked perfectly on my lenovo legion with no controller configuration needed. If you are even slightly on the fence to play this game just GET IT AND PLAY IT... more than worth the money - you won't regret it.
Cool old school style game with amazing music and creative story. If you grew up with Atari 2600 games, then this game is perfect for you, it's a retro style game, but extremely challenging at the same time.
whoa! this game is so awesome! It doesn't take long to get to the first awesome boss and then more and more awesome bosses keep coming and coming! I love how some of the bosses are based on internet celebrities like Mr. Beast (Crystal Beast) and the Mazeataur that is like Jesse Lee Peterson!! This game combines all the stuff I love: Violence, Comedy, Adventure, an Awesome sidekick, and a very ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥' soundtrack that complements and intensifies the game! If technology ever really does develop to 13g, I hope the results will be as awesome as the world of Skullhunter A Worm's Tale!!
Funny kind of creepy game. Pretty hard so I have to play on Baby mode.
Skullhunter is a great game! I have not yet completed the full campaign but so far the story and art are fantastic. There are a lot of creative and original ideas for combat and enemies that I thoroughly enjoy. Overall would highly recommend!
The 8-bit art style is really fantastic, delivering a mix of nostalgia and nightmare fuel. The Skeleton and its monstrous foes are crafted with care, and the eerie, visuals and immersive sound amplify the tension with every step. I thoroughly enjoyed this game. I'm especially grateful for the "Super Baby Toddler Mode," as it allowed me to experience the full game. The regular mode was, unfortunately, beyond my skill level.
Absolutley Peak. Interesting game mechanics and the balance between being hard but not annoying make this a fun play.
This is the BEST bullet-hell game about 13g cell towers and worms and skulls on the MARKET and I don't even LIKE bullet hell games but I like this one because it's very fun and rewarding to beat. Would recommend gaming this game 10/10
