Stealing elements was cool, and the first bit of the game was aight, but when you go to your first world, it starts falling off. Stopped being fun and became more annoying later, especially for a friend of mine who played this garbage. The Publisher has not been cooking, Don't them cook with this one! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Man, that part where pickachu turns into a serial rapist gave me good keks. 10/10 never even played

Yeah, I didn't finish the game. I got stuck in the wind world after failing to procure enough reputation signets despite doing everything listed in the guide and at this point I can't handle the frustration this games gives me. That said, I've clocked in 16 hours into the game so I think I'm still qualified to give my thoughts. 1-Story Eh, it was alright. Kind of drops you into the middle of things and briefs you through the story. I honestly still have no idea whether I'm the good guy or bad guy though. Really expansive lore that I'd probably like more if I spent more time in the game. Really love the multiple protagonists storytelling technique. 2-Characters I've played through Cindyral and am at Windir but let me just say so far, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I hate everyone in the Cindral group. Aside from Volcania and Gion who are pretty much passive characters in the group dynamic. Rudel is one massive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Cesillie is completely blind to Faron's affections and is head over heels for Auridus and was willing to even kill Auridus's partner for him. Auridus is just using everyone for his own ends and Faron needs to put his ♥♥♥♥ into his ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pants and realize that maybe this isn't the best time to get into a fight with Rudel when the fate of their world is at stake. No, seriously, wtf Faron, you honestly went and backed up Auridus, the guy that you knew had been manipulating everyone and who's plan could potentially kill countless people just because he was the only guy that could potentially have backed you up in your love quarrel with Rudel? As for Windir, the characters so far seem to suffer from a lack of depth which is especially notable compared to Cindral but maybe its because I haven't completed it yet. However, I think the lack of depth in the characters is epitomized in the protagonist who's name I forgot because she's that forgettable. I played with her for hours, talking with people, fighting battles, and I couldn't get a hint of her personality. Its like she was the player stand in. In fact, the only thing that I think characterizes her personality so far is her desire for revenge against the Wizard King or whatever but even declaration felt so off. Because throughout the whole time I thought that she was a silent, cool type with not much outward personality so seeing her declare her desire for revenge felt like it completely went against what I thought her character was the entire time. As for Areatha and the Burning King. I still don't know who's the good guy or the bad guy. Which I find to be an interesting story technique at the very least. There aren't really truly good characters so far, only shades of gray. But at the same time its like, who should I root for? I don't want to root for the Windir girl's desire for revenge knowing that the wizard king is a good guy. I don't want to root for Faron who like I said so far, is a selfish and immature ♥♥♥♥. Lastly, I don't want to root for the dark one, because to this point, I still don't know whether his cause is just. Is Areatha really the good guy? Seems so, but then the Burning King saved Faron's group so should I be rooting for the Burning King? 3-Gameplay Oh my god, where to start. The RPG element of the gams is good. The boss battles are good, the puzzles are good, even the elements mechanic I have no complaints over. I can get deeper into why its good but I'd rather want to rant about the bad. Expansive maps. Normally this is a good thing but these maps kind of feel too expansive and the game doesn't give you enough direction to know what to do. For example, I spent 2 plus hours going around cindral with the stupid dragon thing because I couldn't find the entrance to the centre castle because of how easily missed it was. The game gives no indication on where I needed to go to find the entrance. You would think that the dragon would be used to cross a short distance of water through the maze but doing that doesn't lead me to the castle, it just leads me to somewhere else which I didn't know at the time, wasn't a place I needed to go to yet before I reached the castle. But I didn't know that, so I had to go around the entire place which was pretty big, encountering high level monsters every few steps before I realized that hey, I can't do anything here. Maybe the castle ain't here. You know where the entrance of the castle was? To get there, you literally have to go to the other side of the map. There was no indication that I needed to go there. The only way I could've known to go there was if I had scoured the entire map. It made no sense to be there, Faron and the gang were finding a route from the bottom side of the map, why in the hell would the entrance be on the top side on the OTHER side of the map? And since it was so easy to miss, I went there and couldn't find it so I went and look around the entire map again and again all the while fighting monsters that I couldn't always escape from. Thank god I had a healer. Ok here's another thing, what decides when I can escape a battle? The game doesn't tell me at all. And after failing to escape my first battles, I quickly thought of escaping to be futile since I would just get hit and fail to escape most of the time forcing me to fight the battles. It wasn't until much later that I realized that I could now escape battles which would've helped a lot had I known about it before searching the entire map for the entrance to the castle. Actually no, sometimes I still can't escape and I get hit. What decides when I can escape a battle and when I have a good chance of doing so? The game still hasn't told me. In terms of other issues, as mentioned before, I'm stuck in wind world because I can't find the 12th reputation signet. You know what would've helped massively? A questlog that updates everytime I find a new quest and updates when I've completed them. Why does this game hate giving a sense of direction to the player so much? I want to know whether I'm missing a quest or I haven't done this task to full completion and above all, a list of all the quests would be great instead of having to remember all 11 of them in my head. And it would've helped me figure out what quest I'm missing right now. Same thing goes to Cindral. A good map which gives a good indication of where I needed to go to next would've worked wonders. Also, I remember when I first started Cindral and needed to get to the solar pannel/water collection area. First task you think, oh okay I'll go there and do the quest. Cue me going around the entire town wondering where the hell am I supposed to go to. Am I missing something? Obviously it must be easy to get to the first location. The guy gave no hint that I needed to anything special just to get there. It made me feel really stupid, because I feel like I was missing an obvious door or entrance. It took me an hour before I decided to randomly interact with everything because I couldn't think of anything else. And then one of the barrels moved. I'm sorry what? Wtf? ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ lmao, I had to do this entire ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ puzzle pushing ♥♥♥♥ around just to get to the location. Why? What made you think I would know to push on that barrel? What made you think I would assume that barrel could be moved? Why didn't you tell me I was in a puzzle in the first place instead of making me feel stupid for thinking that I'm missing an obvious entrance? Why is there even a puzzle here, logically speaking there shouldn't be. Why would I need to this list of complex and obscure steps just to get to the water collection place which is assume is vital to the city? I was starting to rant about the cave in windir but yeah, I don't have enough character space. Last thing, pixel art was fine, normal art was, bad I guess. That picture of Rudel in the final fight, lmao. Edit: Wait, I spent 25 hours on this game?
idk i didn't really like it
