This game is good but. It has 3 areas I need cheat engine to get through in order to slow down the pace. Without cheat engine I would have never beaten the game. One area in which you must out run a giant snowball is mandatory to proceed. I would have never beaten it without cheat engine. If you get this game you may need cheat engine.
Labyronia Elements is is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. This garbage has been dumped on Steam by the known asset flip scammers, Big Black Bear/ImperiumGame. Big Black Bear/ImperiumGame have shown a repeat pattern of unethically dumping other people's work onto Steam as a cheap, nasty cash grab, through this account or through closely linked/alt accounts. Here's some examples so you can see for yourself:

"Bird" = Sky Flight Full Game Template developed by Puppeteer
"Kitten and Food: Adventure Park" = Cat and Food developed by Softrave
"Mad Bus" = ZigZag Infinite Runner Game developed by Puppeteer
"Relax Fly" = Sky Flight Full Game Template developed by Puppeteer
"World of Feudal" = Tayphyn developed by Bocharov Anton
"Factory Pirates" = Polygon Pirates Low Poly 3D asset pack developed by Synty Games
As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make demos and small games to pass around friends, and shouldn't be used for "professional" game development. Like most RPG Maker shovelware and asset flips, the game features extremely low quality copy + pasted 2D retro pixel art, looks awful, and has even worse gameplay. RPG Maker is an absolutely terrible construction kit, and never results in games of any reasonable quality or value to gamers. To be expected from the known asset flippers at Big Black Bear, there's nothing of value in the way the RPG Maker construction kit was used... this is another minimum viable product from shovelware pushers, a basic fan-fiction with asset flipped Kadokawa pixelcrap tiles and characters. There's nothing here for serious gamers, or JRPG fans. In line with pretending the garbage "content" in this RPG Maker asset flip has any importance, it's not even a single cohesive story, but 5 different garbage fanfictions with 5 different mapsets slapped together, which seems like a lot of work considering, as their past actions show, Big Black Bear are quite happy to just dump an entire demo/asset pack onto Steam as-is and claim it as their work. See above, that's them. The poor quality of this RPG Maker asset flip is reflected by how many people spent time with it. At the time of this review, SteamDB shows the all-time peak player number was only 7 players. This is a remarkably low number, and now, the only player activity occurs once or twice a month, presumably someone loading it up to see what it is then quickly uninstalling it. Considering there's over 120 million gamers on Steam and well over 50,000 games for gamers to choose from (over 9,000 completely free titles), the overwhelming lack of interest in this low quality game is to be expected. It's also important to note the "developer" here has connections to a number of shady Russian asset flippers and review manipulators who show an organised pattern to scam and defraud gamers with fake reviews and asset flipping the work of others for profit. While reviews are about the games, gamers should be informed when developers act unethically. Whether these connections are the same developer using multiple accounts, or just working closely with other unethical developers, gamers should be warned about the harm to gamers by this developer and their associates. Buying games from unethical developers puts your money at risk. Labyronia Elements is relatively cheap at $1 USD, but it's not worth it. Given the defects and quality issues with the game, coupled with the unrealistic price, and the questionable ethical nature of the developer and/or their associates (as outlined above), this is impossible to recommend.
Overall just a great classic styled rpg game. Its best feature has to be the heartfelt, rich storyline that the creators obviously worked very hard on. The combat is balanced and not repetitive, the characters are original and fit well with the plot, and it's also a pretty long-lasting game. The navigation can be a bit confusing at times, but what else should you expect from the World of Labyrinths? A game I can hardly find any faults in and a very nice installation in the hopefully much more longeve Labyronia series. Wholeheartedly recommend and hope the whole series gets the recognition and visibility it deserves. Thank you Labirinthine!
Stealing elemental attacks from enemies is fun, but that is the only redeeming quality of this game. Too much walking, boring fights, bad story and a lot of weird, weird game design decisions that make this frustrating.
Labyronia Elements
Interesting game, at first it can be a bit uphill but it's not a bad RPG, the story is not bad, it has annoying and somewhat frustrating moments but if there is an offer I recommend trying it.
As for this game, sure there are pros and cons (a con being fairly grindy to "save" perks/benefits to the said character(s) ), but in the end despite the grinding, super boss slaying, exploration for better equipment, as well as a touching ending and something after the credits, I'm giving this a thumbs up. As for how to be able to beat the game without much frustration? There are a few guides that I say are a must to use in steam guides to help you with just about everything. If you need help with the water world, post on discussions or surf through the threads, or add me. Near the end of the game there will be bits that require fast response/quick reflexes. Mini (but not major) spoilers for one of the worlds and its forest maze/race run, a special bracelet that gives +50% EXP. a bit of a spoiler below but nothing big Imo Speaking of guides, to maximize the end of the game, do equip your party members 1 of each item (the useful stuff such as the lords bracelet) for when you complete a world, kind of lose all the non equipped equipment and items. In addition, have 1 primary character of each world of your choice to hog all the special elements if you want due to the end of the game situation. Hopefully after enough recognition this game gets, could make the end game easier ;P. All in all, I say it was worth it despite the time needed to make my completionist run a success without much rage.
two worlds finished and every new beginning feels fresh, like starting a whole new game. And we all know the feeling... I love it!
I've played the last game before this one...after I beat the other one I went back to check this one out...and let me tell you...the developer got A LOT better at that one... This game...is rough...the dungeon design here sometimes is simply awful...there were so many moments that I had to stop playing and come back latter because of how irritaded I was feeling...but the story and setting were so interesting that it kept me playing till the end... My first world was the fire world...it's kinda generic compared to the other ones...it's just some guys going on a quest to retrieve an amulet and save the world (at least that's what they think they are doing)...the story here is basic and the characters range from annoying to really annoying... My third world was the earth world...and let me tell you...this area has probably some of the worst dungeons I've ever seen...and you have to backtrack trough it...many times...everything looks similar and you have to go back and forth trough it...ironically the combat part here was also the easiest...and the story and characters were some of my favorites... My fourth world was water...and everything here is a freaking labyrinth...I swear that the only area that wasn't a labyrinth was the final palace wich had some of the worst puzzles in the game...I know the game is called labyronia..but come on...the other worlds did not have this many labyrinths... I skiped talking about the air world for a reason...the air world was my second world and let me tell you...it was amazing...great characters, simple but cool story, the open world nature of that area was amazing and it was just fun to explore....there was one or two bad puzzles there but the overal area was incredible...I would play an entire game like this without any problem and it really made me wish the rest of the game was more like this... And finally there is the ending area...it was good...kinda wish there were more stuff to do but at least it was straight to the point...just two dungeons and the game is over (there were also 3 super bosses...they were ok) So after completing the entire game...I'd recommend playing it...but just be ready for a bumpy ride...some parts are really bad...but the setting and characters are actually pretty good and the air world was really great...the ending was pretty cool too... But if this didn't interest you...play the sequel...it's much better in terms of design...
