Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 17 → 1.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A really solid dungeon crawler game, heavy on both action and horror. Incredibly cool setting that is rarely found amongst horror games, and even less commonly amongst good horror games. While there is occasional jank, like enemies hitting you through walls, the game is put together remarkably well, and the sound design especially impresses. It's hard to overstate how great it sounds, from the incredible OST of Remu Daifuku's composition (the full score features 99 tracks) to the ambiance and the combat sounds. The combat is competent; in classic horror fashion, most of the enemies, including bosses, are cheesable and fundamentally quite easy, but the player is clunky and weak until enough upgrades have been found (especially for your Stamina, which is immensely important), so there is a learning curve and the earlygame is tough. Later, the difficulty tapers off significantly, which plays out well both because the game is on the shorter side and because, by this point, the average goons you mow down will have lost their horror regardless. The game is too reticent with doling out Shirikodamas (especially because the player can't see the stats of armor, making it a gamble to upgrade these) and the NG+ disappointed with its lack of story impact, but these flaws are minor. The story it tells is terse but quite interesting, full of themes of Buddhism and, especially, the Buddhist conceptions of Hell and infinitude, which, in Buddhist thought, is the worst form of punishment. Labyrinth of the Demon King is easily worth experiencing for the immaculate setting and sound alone, both of which are executed with mastery, and the rest of its aspects build on these to produce an excellent game.

BUYERS BEWARE!!! The game is extremely difficult early due to ♥♥♥♥♥♥ weapon and enemies capable of counter attack almost instantly. Requiring you to pay attention to enemies reaction to your attacks. Until you get two handed weapon. Two handed parry counter is a shove that enemies cannot counter. You can literally kill most enemies by shoving them to death. The good: Amazing atmosphere. The castle looks decayed and limited view distance enhanced the horror aspect of the game. Tight combat requires you to pay attention to enemies even as you attack them. That is, until you get two handed weapons. Deaths are trivial. You lost nothing . Which is good for early difficulty. The bad: Terrible hitbox. Your kick can kill maggots and centipede instantly. But sometimes, despite you stomping them they are not getting hit. Terrible weapon range. All one handed weapons requires you to go pointblank on the enemies. Even two handed weapons missed sometimes. Just stick to enemies like glue as you attack them. Bosses kind of meh. Perhaps for balancing due to the slow nature of the gameplay. I will not spoil which bosses, but here are hints how you can beat them based on my three walkthroughs: Three can be parried to death. One can be killed with hit and run tactic. One can be killed using ranged weapons. One can be killed by hit and run tactic but use charged heavy attack.
The game is great, and I recommend it.
I usually struggle to enjoy many survival horror, and even just horror games in general, but this game was pretty fantastic. I'd say a solid 8.8 or 9/10 for me personally. Short and sweet (~11ish hours for me) and due to that, the world design was spectacular. Loved how the world felt kind of like Dark Souls 1/Bloodborne-y, and the combat felt a lot like Sekiro to me. Very fluid, and not very clunky. I would LOVE to see more games (either from the dev or other games in general) copy this combat system. I genuinely loved it so much. Love this era style of graphics as far as art style goes as well. They absolutely NAILED it to me. I'm not sure if more games, or DLC are coming, but if so, I'm looking forward to it! Definitely sad it's over, as the combat was so much fun...
Love the vibes, the music and the art style. So fun.
Very good, and though game. Its very much a First-Person, resident-evil like with melee combat. The melee combat is good, with a side of clunky stamina control. Kinda reminding me of kingsfield. What the game does best is its Horror. Its a damn dreadful horror game, very good depiction of corruption, demons and well, hell. The grimy shaky nature of the aesthetics, coupled with being Ps1 inspired lend itself very well to the nature of the game. The music, oh GOD the music is so stress inducing. I feel like there was not enough unique enemies and monsters. I think it is kind of stupid that a crawling monster has more health than the standard goon, but also the standard goon has no more variants. Corrupted variant? Or an armored variant? I dont want to ruin any surprises with this review, but I could have thought of so many more enemies for this game. Some are so sparsly used, I almost forget they existed. One portion of the game was a little dissapointing. I knew I was going up against a boss, I had no arrows and was saving up money for the rifle. I grinded for 15 minutes to gain another 150 money. All because I bought the handaxe at the beginning... With that said, the game does reward good item use. Items, and weapons dont have a clear description, I dont know what half of the items actually do. Like the armors... Like, idk what makes them actually different. Damage taken? Something else? Im not gonna stick around to find out, unfortunately. But I was very happy with my time with the game. Good job, was great. I do feel like ive missed out on something... There was the basement and... 4 statues? I have played through the game New Game+ like... 2 times? I think? Got the secrets. I dont know if thats all of them but it feels like it. I dont know what else there is to the New Game+es. Still, well worth checking out New game + and getting those secrets once and for all.
Classic PS1 horror game that never was. Besides some annoyance with final encounter design and backtracking, this game is such a gem. Look forward to whatever these devs cook up next!
After finishing my initial playthrough and now halfway into NG+, I can say it's definitely worth checking out if you're into survival horror and dungeon crawlers. The combat does admittedly take some getting used to, but once you've gotten the hang of it you're in for a genuinely creepy and unsettling experience where the retro aesthetics and the time period adds heavily to the atmosphere. That paired with the sound design and soundtrack, there are bound to be a few moments of "wtf was that" and "oh I do not like that." Probably the only game I can think of recently where I willingly played it on a 4:3 ratio and at 30 fps. It's incredibly absorbing. Headphones are also highly recommended. Overall, you're absolutely going to be getting bang for your buck on this one, especially during sales. It's another solid entry in the rising genre of Kingslike and retro-style survival horror.
