Trigger Warning, Child Abuse, Sexual Assault:
This game could cause some upset to folks particularly sensitive to physical abuse (esp towards minors) and sexual assault. There are numerous instances of children being hit for little to no reason and is portrayed pretty casually like its supposed to be funny. There is also a relatively early on scene that is particularly uncomfortable and lengthy of one character going quite far in trying to force themself on another that is not handled particularly tastefully or seriously, with multiple instances of skeeviness before this from other characters.
Taking a break here because after farming a bunch in the dungeon, I went to do a dialogue to cross an area and the entire game crashed and dumped like 2 hrs of game time. The most frustrating part of this game is certainly that the save system is a little rough. If you are mid-dungeon, you can only create a temporary save that quits you out of the game and loading it deletes the savepoint. No checkpoints or whatever, so, grind time can be lost. This game has been an interesting experience, though. As you can see, I have just shy of 16 hrs, and I only just progressed to the 2nd dungron zone. I haven't even unlocked all the core game aspects. When this game says dungeon crawler, it means it. It is turn-based, has some tactical components to how you prep your team and loadout and use/gather resources. While it seems pretty simple in the surface, its got a lot of trial and error, figuring things out on your own, DYING TERRIBLY, grinding, and no handholding. I feel like I've barely scratched the surface here. This is THE framework of the game, so you'll either love or hate it based on this. As far as the story itself, it has an awful lot of intrigue and mystery about what is going on and its all about you figuring it out as you go. You yourself are a magic book possessed by a soul, leading puppet soldiers through the dungeons that humans cannot enter, at the behest of a witch and her apprentice who have come to this strange town with creepy ♥♥♥♥ and odd people all around. You get advancements of the plot as you reach milestones in the dungeon and complete tasks, so, it can really get held up if you have a spot of bad luck, aren't sure what to do or how to get to it, or have not advanced your puppets enough. The voice acting for the dialogue isn't bad, but the game overall has some fanservicey designs to most the women... This is definitely not a game for minors despite the sorta cutesy cartoony artstyles. So far, I've found most characters relatively annoying or unlikable in personality, so it remains to be seen if this is a constant or if they will experience growth as we go. Overall, I personally enjoy it enough that I will continue chipping away at it at a casual pace to avoid frustration or burnout, but this is definitely a niche audience game not for everyone.
9/10 I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys dungeon crawler JRPGs. The story between Luca and Dronya, the main protagonists, is pretty well done. The story is funny, but the game isn't afraid to shift into a darker tone when the story calls for it. The soundtrack and art style are also pretty good. The only real downside I can think of is that some dungeons are soo long and can feel tedious to navigate. Other than that, the combat is engaging and a lot of fun.
一个非常别扭的游戏
this is a good game. but god you need to do a lot of grinding near the end. i have lots of minor complaints about the game such as one late dungeon randomly spawning super strong enemies that can take out 1/2 your party. but overall its a fun dungeon crawler. if you have a lot of time to burn, id reccomend it
I bought this cause it was on a likely AI generated list of "games like Legend of Grimrock 2" and I didn't notice it was by the Disgaea guys since all I know about that series is that it ignites discussion about cultural differences in depictions of minors so when this game had a nun obsessed with molesting people with potatoes I thought I had bought one of them porno games but then the person she's molesting vomits and the scene ends
