About
Year 2064. The majority of nation states have become extinct. A series of natural and human-caused catastrophes in the 2030s and 2040s triggered the collapse of global systems, led to the fragmentation of human communities. The political entities in this new world are microstates and even amidst the current inter-state and corporate conflicts, typically see no point in maintaining their own armies, having to rely on mercenary
forces — the "golden age" of private military companies, so called PMCs, has arrived.
As PMC operatives, you’ll take on intense high-risk campaign in a dystopian world of
future Latin America across a breathtaking megalopolis and lush jungle combining
highly advanced weaponry and technology battling against rival factions.
An engaging story-driven atmospheric shooter experience regardless if you play alone
or as a part of the cooperating team. Team up with fellow mercenaries to coordinate
tactics, combine firepower with combat abilities and share resources.
Acquiring the right tools is crucial in this unforgiving world. Choose from a selection
of distinct weapons. Customize your exoskeleton with a range of parts. Every weapon,
ability, exoskeleton will allow you to craft the perfect combination for desired play
style and enemy type.
Face off against factions in intense battles, each with their own specifics – lightly armed charging bandits, stealthy long-range sharpshooters or heavy shielded and armed elite fighters.
With resistance to conventional weapons, and their ability to fly, crawl on ceilings, and
scale walls makes these robotic foes tough, unpredictable and deadly. Some of the more advanced military models require you to discover unique tactics to bring them down
for good.
A personal combat AI assistant will guide you with tactical information in danger, and
serve as a guide in the quieter locations.

Buy the game if you want to support this new studios. There is no need to cry for a lower price or to criticize Reburn because there are a bunch of expensive games out there, including some indie games. Also, they provided a discount a few days ago, and they will offer more in the future. If you want to know more about this studios, read this notice. Basically, I played a bit of the main campaign of this game. I haven't finished the full Early Access part of this game because I don't want to spoil the lore too soon. But I also played the side mission (Wave). What I Like:

Atmosphere looks great. Trees/Plants combination with a Modern Era looks very artistic.
Environmental logic has also been implemented correctly. Lighting, walking on water and sounds made when walking across some plants are accurate and feel alive/realistic.
Sound design and art style of the weapons are fantastic. Reloading sounds and animations are also quite good.
Enemy AI is good but just needs a few tweaks. Shooting, bullet spreading, running animations look fine too and character design is pristine. I also liked 'Taking Down' combat against enemies and how it is animated.
In-game lore looks interesting. As Reburn described before, the story involves Latin America.
It features co-op, which I really liked a lot.
What I Don't Like:

That alert system is annoying. There is no need to alert with a voice each time. For example: "Danger! Enemy sniper found!", "Attention! Grenade!", "The mission is updated", "The mission has changed" etc., I feel there is no need for such dialogues. Just showing some icons and text is enough. I wish they would update the voice to a robotic or male voice. Voice choice option, (just like in Crysis Warhead) would be awesome. Voice can be used to alert player scanning necessary objects.
Eyes and lips aren't synchronizing properly with some voice lines. In every cutscene, I heard the word 'F**k' too many times. Using too many offensive words in a single cutscene is irrelevant.
Enemies don't engage in close combat; they don't use their fists, hands or legs to attack. Optimization of their physical movements is needed.
Pausing (Esc button) in the game doesn't actually pause the game. Enemies come and kill.
Feature Requests:
Photo Mode. I am also referring to the barehands option, which I saw when the main protagonist fell down from a slope and showed his two hands without weapon while running (Prologue/Tutorial/First Mission). Barehands would be nice to capture some great scenarios or gameplay.
Character customization with proper suit updates and color mixtures would look cool. Weapon parts would be nice too. For example: grips, scopes, front and rear attachments, etc.
Offline mode for the single campaign is requested, as many other gamers have also wanted this feature.
Some missions along with driving vehicles or jet planes would be awesome. (I think, they have already prepared these missions for its future updates.)
Adding hand emotes or gestures might be useful in battle.
Bug Reports: I am not reporting any bugs here. I have already joined their Discord server since they announced the trailer. So, for reporting any bugs, problems or crashes, this is not the correct place. Join their Discord server. Conclusion: Have faith in developers and give them support and time. This game reminds me of the Crysis series. Also, this studios came from 4A Games. Even the Metro series is one of my favorite games, and I believe Reburn will succeed. Obviously, this game has the potential to be a great FPS, sci-fi, shooting game. Hopefully, this game's full campaign will last at least 6-7 hours long after the full release, and I hope they will continue this franchise. All the best, Reburn.
The deal breaker for me was not being able to pause. Life happens, and the missions take FOR EVER. Not sure why a game exists with no way to pause it, but this one does. Graphically speaking, it's beautiful, gameplay is kind of annoying though. Some enemies can only be killed with some guns, so you're constantly swapping around to try to get the right gun for the right enemy which I found irritating. I think if they fixed the whole pause thing, it'd probably be a decent game on par with something like Bulletstorm, but as it is now, it's just too needy of a game. Can't pause, gotta constantly swap weapons, no thanks.
The good: The shooting is solid and the graphics are amazing. I really like the setting and story, though the voice acting leaves quite a bit to be desired. Some of the characters sound like the voice actors from the Metro games trying to pretend to be from South America lol The bad: There's a terrible balance of ammo and health pick ups for the amount of enemies they throw at you. And for some reason, enemies carry more grenades than you carry ammo. And they will absolutely use them all the time. A guy will be 5 feet in front of your face and toss a grenade at you. It's insane. All the enemies are great shots by the way. It'll also turn your PC into a volcano as well. This game will be pretty good once they balance some things. I'm honestly excited to play the final product, but I wouldn't suggest paying the money for early access yet. Update 5/20/2026 Recently there was an update that said something along the lines of "less grenades" and I'm wondering if the enemy AI was aware of this change. I'm not sure why the devs are intent on making the gameplay not fun. Not only is everyone going crazy with grenades, but now bullet sponge enemies now also blow up when near you. I just don't get why they're stuck on making this an issue in the game. Also, the UI is pretty terrible. It's hard to tell how much health you have left, how many first aid packs, and how many grenades you have. You have to look away from what you're doing and search for it in the HUD. Not very intuitive.
Slavjank Crysis. The guns feel good to shoot, they are distinct and impactful. Not much content, there's a few bugs but nothing that would make the game unpleasant to play. What does dampen my enjoyment is the inability to pause the game. English voice acting is rather rough, similar to the Metro series I suppose, probably the same actors. One last thing, the latest update introduced a side mission to keep you busy while more content is done, however 15 wave survival with no pause and no rewards unless you finish it all feels like the devs are taking the piss
La Quimera is a strange, beautiful, and often perplexing game — and that's exactly what makes it worth your time. It doesn’t hold your hand or explain itself much, but if you're open to a more abstract, emotionally driven experience, there’s something truly unique waiting here. Visually, the game is stunning in a quiet, subtle way. Its dreamlike environments and evocative soundtrack create an atmosphere that’s immersive and meditative. The narrative is cryptic and heavily symbolic — sometimes to a fault — but it's clear that every moment is crafted with intention. That said, La Quimera isn’t for everyone. The pacing is slow, gameplay is minimal, and the meaning behind it all isn’t always obvious. But that’s part of its charm. It asks you to slow down, reflect, and interpret — not just consume. If you're a fan of experimental or art-focused games, La Quimera deserves your attention. It may not be perfect, but it’s sincere, thought-provoking, and unlike most titles out there. Give it a chance — it might just surprise you.
I was ready to verbally assault La Quimera and hop on that old popular hate train. Truth be told, it is not that bad. I actually enjoyed the half hour I spent with La Quimera. GRAPHICS: Yes, overall, they suck canal water, especially the character models. But only if you have 2020, 21, 22, 23, 24, or 25 graphical expectations. Think 2017, 18 or 19 and you'll have a better time. The environments are cool, though. GAME PLAY & GAME MECHANICS: Think of games from 2018-2021 and you'll be a happy gamer. It reminded me of gameplay elements from games such as Crysis and Far Cry and Ghost Recon Wildlands. VOICE ACTING: Yikes! It is just plain bad, but ok enough considering La Quimera is a sub-par game anyway. STORY PREMISE: It's bland and generic, but serviceable. The game is currently in Early Access, but potentially could be a better game.
I really wanted to like this game but it has some issues. However, I do thing this game has potential but they need to work on the gun play, voice acting is a bit rough, and I think directing towards task could be improve. I hope they able to improve this game and fix some of these issues.
even half an hour of early access was enough to say this game is not playable yet! I mean i like the game play, graphics, shooting etc BUT a single player game that you cannot pause? Disgusting. Also i played this game with a controller, i don't know why my controller was vibrating all the time so intense without any reason. like i was not getting shots or something. vibrating for no reason! I hope these issues could be solve in original release. Especially pausing the game!
La Quimera is a narrative-driven FPS set in a dystopian near-future Latin America, and it already nails mood, pacing, and its slick sci-fi kit—exoskeletons, abilities, and a solid arsenal. Solo or 1–3 player co-op combat feels promising; it’s early and rough in spots, but the core loop and world-building have clear upside with more polish.
