The RNG makes you feel like everything you do doesn't matter. I could select something different and have the same outcome or I could pick the same thing and the outcome was radically different. Or even worse: all of the stats might not matter BECAUSE you're at the mercy of RNG. So, you couldn't have a common strategy because the outcome was always different. And since the core gameplay could be replaced by selecting the auto-spin, the only thing left in the game are the decisions to move between levels. Even with the auto-spin, you can't have the entire game play itself. So it wants enough of your attention with annoying frequency that you can't just passively watch the numbers go up. And the gameplay of pressing the spin button is not worth hanging around for. In short, it is boring and feels like nothing matters.
This game is only fun until you max out the levels of each character... After that the achievements set a road map to success that is mostly based on RNG (along with picking and removing items properly). You can be very precise with the latter and still lose based on randomness. I wouldn't recommend this to others.
i got it from a random steam key and it's honestly kinda banging
If there was a neutral recommendation I would put it here. But in it's current state, it is a very rudimentary gambling roguelite. It has a very low floor and also a low ceiling. The game heavily prioritizes survivalbility and then has a couple of damage check events. There are certain themes that are not fully realized and combining engines and pivioting that are unrelated to survivability does not work very well. There is potential here, but the slots do not work well together. though I do appreciate the enemies somewhat scaling linearly so you do not need an exponential combo build. The replayability is pushed into ascension mechanics which i personally find boring. This game would strongly benefit from the slots having better integration rather than being mostly independent from each other and more slots in general.

Luck Be a Landlord, but combat based. Was quite okay.
The item pool isn't deep enough or strategic enough to make much of the extremely simple gameplay and there is basically nothing to do between turns, you can't change much, but it doesn't like...auto run through until the battle is over like an auto-battler, you have to click each turn like theres something to be done. Truly a weird experience, like another reviewer said - its in a very awkward middle ground between an actual deckbuilder and an auto-battler and it doesn't seem to have chosen which it wants to be, I doubt it'll get big changes to be one or the other in time.
