Kowloon High-School Chronicle

This game isn't perfect but it's perfect for me. If you like Persona but wish it comitted to the bit more and felt less formulaic and more authentic, almost as if it were sperging to you about everything that the creators loved in a beautiful fusion of early 2000's anime and dungeon crawler with schizo-pilled mechanics (balance be damned, we're making it cool) then this game is going to make your year. A masked man atop the school building tells you that together, with your combined powers, you can overthrow the student council and then slinks into some mystical underground ruins. This game ♥♥♥♥♥ very hard.

玩到第十章的時候，要進入OP就變一片黑無法進入下一段劇情。 這遊戲優化應該是無望了。

[h1]「お腹を空かせた弟のため、人を傷つけてもあんぱんが欲しいの…」（報酬8000円）[/h1] 青葉学園→真神学園→天香学園→暮綯学園と渡り歩いてきた《転校生》です。 今井秋芳監督の学園ジュヴナイル作品としては最も完成度の高い作品と思います。その作品がSteamでプレイできるという時点でもう[b]買い[/b]といって差し支えありません。 絵面はゆうて20年ものなので古臭く感じると思いますが、一方でこのしっとりしたというかノスタルジックというか、なんともいえない雰囲気はファンからするとほかからは摂取できない希少な栄養素となっています。 PS2では追加要素を含む完全版となるRe:charge版がありましたが、Steam版は「無印版をフルボイス化した」Switch版の移植なので、攻略サイトなどと情報が違うと思うかもしれませんが、その点はご留意を。 （そのため生活学科を上げすぎると探索で穀物とミネラルウォーターが手に入らなくなり、「スシ喰って無双」ができなくなるのでご注意ください） 権利関係かもしれませんが、Re:chargeをフルボイスすればいいのになんでこんな変なことをしたのでしょうね…。それだけが心残りです。

About 50% of the game is dedicated to dungeon crawling, the other half are the visual novel parts of the game. The dungeon crawling and combat are both very fun, though they do start getting repetitive near the end of the game. There are some puzzles, but they are all way too easy in my opinion. The story is mostly episodic, most chapters focus on a single new character and their problems. I like most of the characters, they have a lot of charm to them and are fun to be around. I think it's one of those games that need to be played with a guide though, it's very easy to miss out on a lot of content of the game by picking wrong choices or not getting specific items before certain points. The subpar translation doesn't help that either.

highly recommend if you like early megaten games :) one part dungeon crawler, one part fps, one part viual novel, one part nightmare.
