About

Tower of the Ice Lich is a solo dungeon-crawlclimbing adventure about ascending a treacherous tower, surviving monsters, traps and temptations along the way. As the player you must constantly evaluate risk vs reward, manage your resources and choose your battles to ensure you get to the end and face the Lich.
No two runs are ever the same in the Lich's tower: The layout of the tower shifts, and the perils and it's treasures are found in different places every playthough.
The only constant is the Lich, waiting for you atop the Tower.

Do not buy this game if you hate reading! If you are a fan of story-rich games and retro pixelart this game is for you. What you are getting is very good for the price and you can tell a lot of love went into the labor of making the game.
A unique little game that captures the nostalgic atmosphere of childhood classics like Shadowgate and Eye of the Beholder, but plays like a choose-your-own-adventure. I first got it on iOS and now again on Steam. The real challenge isn’t just beating it once but mastering it. Each playthrough unfolds differently, and over time, experience lets you tackle harder levels, iterating and learning to shift the odds in your favor. It runs great on the Steam Deck, and I will keep it there for a occasional rematch against the Ice Lich.
I think it's a fun game where you move from room to room, encountering random events. The scope is fairly small, and you can complete it in about twenty minutes. I do wish there were more animation and detail in the world, but given the price, it's a reasonable trade-off. The references to classic horror are a nice touch, I have a soft spot for anything related to the Necronomicon! :)
This is so fun and really takes me back to being a kid and playing choose your adventure novels. Also very reminiscent of dnd one shots which rules. Gives the fun of a simple rogue like without the complexity of many rogue likes which often drives me away from them. This is a game I’ll return to play when I want a thirty minute game of solo dnd.
If you like the good ol' Fighting Fantasy Classic books, you'll like this game. It's a dungeon crawler, in which you choose different characters and climb a tower that has different rooms, events and enemies each time you play, to defeat the boss: the Ice Lich at the top of the tower. Step right in and let the luck of the dice decides your fate!
interesting choiches and quick playthrough!
I've been really enjoying this so far. Every attempt feels different, and sometimes bad dice rolls (I get a lot of those) cuts your journey very short. The game is easy to understand, has great immersive text, and there's a balance between strategy and chance that makes each run unique. You can tell a lot of love went into making this. If you're a fan of old-school RPGs or roguelike adventures, I definitely recommend giving this a shot!
The gameplay is simple but captivating. Its straightforward, choose-your-own-adventure-style roleplaying framework is what draws me in, along with the retro atmosphere, which takes me back in a really cool way. I enjoy its playful and humorous descriptions filled with classic roleplaying tropes. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, which is quite endearing. However, I personally prefer to be fully immersed in a world or fantasy, and the "not taking itself to seriously" vibe is kind of beaking the fourth-wall for me at moments, which pull me out of that immersion. This makes me hope for a future game with more serious world-building. It’s a small yet engaging game, and I’m tempted to beat the tower with other characters to see if the endings differ.
Tower of the Ice Lich is a solid dungeon crawler. The pixel art looks great, and the RPG mechanics are simple but satisfying. Progressing through the tower is fun, and the game has a nice atmosphere. Definitely worth checking out if you're into retro-style and dungeon craweler games
A good idea but would work better as a larger, more ambitious, atmospheric and more expensive project. Initially, I was skeptical but now I replayed it several times and I hope the developers come back with more in the future
