Konkan Coast Pirate Solutions is visually cozy, intellectually satisfying, and thoroughly heartfelt. The programming/simulation style puzzle mechanics are easy to learn and a joy to explore. Few puzzle games can rival the catharsis of perfectly planning a solution before watching your ships sail around exactly as they should. The game is elegantly constructed from top to bottom. Its diegetic UI and minimalist aesthetic make for a pleasant visual experience, while its mechanics build at a perfect pace to stay intuitive while remaining stimulating and challenging. The developer's passion shines though in the writing as well as the structure of the content, with occasional bonus stages sprinkled in that showcase neat mechanical interactions included for the sole purpose of sharing interesting ideas with the player. Short and sweet, original, and a love letter to indie puzzle games, Konkan Coast Pirate Solutions is an instant favorite and a brilliant debut by a solo dev; I'll be keeping an eye out for the next release!
I received a free steam key for this game from the devloper. This is a fun programming (kinda?) simulation game. It’s got a cute/funny story to go along with it. The puzzles aren’t too difficult - a few of the side ones get a little tricky and sometimes I just stumbled across a solution as I was testing things out, but I didn’t get stuck for a super long time. The simulation controls work well and it’s neat that you can play, fast forward, and step forward or backward.
This is a charming puzzle game that uses some interesting mechanics I've never encountered before. I enjoyed the aesthetics of moving pieces around a wooden tray with a callback to VCR controls to play through and rewind the puzzle. I also found the story intriguing which pushed me to finish all the puzzles so I could see how it ended. I recommend you check it out.
A brilliant little game which evokes the AHA-moment on almost every puzzle. Multiple simple rules interact together to build up puzzles of dizzying complexity (as evidenced by the pre-solved puzzles).
good game
A whimsical little puzzle game that's equal parts art and logic. Every level is a problem to solve, but and after some trial and error, it's beautiful to watch the system play itself out. After doing everything there is to do, I still don't fully understand all of the mechanics... but that's part of Konkan Coast's charm.
This was a super nice puzzler game. The game had some pretty difficult puzzles with surprisingly elegant solutions, which made for a nice time.
Very fun and very chill. Its one of those cozy puzzle games that you can spend a lot of time chilling with.
Super fun puzzle game. Very relaxing. Some of the puzzles are much more difficult than others ;-) It's very satisfying once you figure out the solution and watch it all work out though. Edit: Having now completed all of the puzzles in this game, I will say that I really enjoyed the game a lot. It was a blast playing. Like I mentioned, some of the puzzles had me struggling for days to complete them. Maybe I just wasn't thinking correctly at the time, but after giving them some thought, and a break in between, I was able to find my "Aha!" moment and tackle them. I think that's the point of this game though. It wants you to slow down and think things through to see the solutions ahead of time. But the fun thing is that you get to try the solutions out along the way and see if they work ;-)
