This is terrible. It's nearly impossible to control the ball, it glitches. I don't recommend.
Knockdown the Ball Twice is a low poly Unreal based 3D platformer/physics puzzle game where you wrestle with an unco-operative marble to try get it to roll/jump (why can marbles jump???) to the end of the level, via all the usual obstacles, ramps etc. It's very poorly made, and the real killer, aside from it not being fun to have to wrestle with controls, is that the game bugs out and occasionally your marble will roll off in any arbitrary direction for no obvious reason. It's clear the developer didn't adequately test this before dumping it on Steam. It also lacks polish and is generally clunky and unenjoyable. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The game features lazy low-polygon "retro" assets, making this look like a barely functional 3D game from the 1990s. It's unclear why the developers weren't able to arrange high quality, high polygon count contemporary assets for the game, and also irrelevant... what matters is that this looks bad as a result of their decisions, a compromise PC gamers shouldn't have to put up with. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Knockdown the Ball Twice didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievments, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is ACH_SKIN_BLUEPATTERN, and only around 19 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game, less than half the players. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game. Knockdown the Ball Twice has an overly optimistic price of around $6 USD, it's not worth it given the defects and shortcomings with the product, especially considering the sheer number of completely free, much higher quality games on Steam.

"Knockdown the Ball Twice" is not just a game; it's a life-changing experience. I know that might sound hyperbolic, but bear with me. A few months ago, I was in a really dark place. Life felt like an endless series of monotonous tasks, and I struggled to find joy or purpose. One evening, aimlessly browsing through Steam, I stumbled upon "Knockdown the Ball Twice." The concept seemed simple enough—control a ball and roll it to the end of each level—but little did I know, this game was about to turn my life around. The first time I launched it, I was immediately drawn in by the vibrant graphics and the soothing, yet upbeat, soundtrack. The controls were intuitive, but the gameplay was surprisingly deep. The challenge of perfecting my timing, strategizing my moves, and finally reaching the end of each level became a metaphor for overcoming the hurdles in my own life. As I progressed through the levels, each success brought a sense of accomplishment that I hadn't felt in a long time. The game’s design is thoughtful and engaging, pushing me to think critically and stay determined. Each level presented new challenges, and the satisfaction of overcoming them was immensely rewarding. "Knockdown the Ball Twice" taught me patience, perseverance, and the importance of celebrating small victories. It reminded me that even the simplest of achievements could bring immense joy. Slowly but surely, the lessons I learned in the game started to reflect in my real life. I began to tackle my daily challenges with renewed vigor and optimism. This game didn’t just entertain me; it gave me hope and a new perspective on life. It reminded me that no matter how trivial a goal might seem, striving for it can lead to profound personal growth. "Knockdown the Ball Twice" truly saved me from a very dark place, and for that, I will be forever grateful. If you’re looking for a game that’s more than just a pastime, one that has the potential to change your outlook on life, I highly recommend giving "Knockdown the Ball Twice" a try. It might just save you too. 10/10, would knock the ball down again.
buy it when on big sale, it is fun but way too short..
The minute or so it took me to open a game idler and add this game to the idling list and then get to play the next few minutes to write this review, was more interesting than the godforsaken 66 seconds or so I spent in the first level. I've seen better games made in 2 day game jams than this.
Added this game to my "Hot Garbage" game category. What the fricker controls are these. Can't tell which way the ball is spinning either. Spawn and die
