Knights of Honor II: Sovereign

It's Total War battles with Crusader King campaign map, but both sides are shallower and not as satisfying. The concept is great, would have loved to see it fleshed out more.

honestly pretty mid, if you wanna play a game like this just get total war on sale. they gave up on it, it shows, it had potential, but its climax has passed for a while now.

too superficial, no real depth

Хороший ремейк игры для фанатов тех самых рыцарей чести 2004 года. Очевидно что в современных реалиях эта игра уступает нынешним стратегиям реального времени в плане функционала и возможностей контроля кучи аспектов внутренней и внешней политики страны за которую вы играете. Но для фанатов первой части игры это долгожданный выход улучшенной версии их любимой стратегии (подумаешь прошло почти 20 лет). Тут сохранили и даже улучшили старые механики которые были и в первой части. Графика тоже на хорошем уровне. В общем я доволен, хорошая возможность вспомнить те времена, когда ты будучи школьником играл в эту игру днями напролет (хотелось бы еще вернуть ту самую озвучку из 2004 г. для полного погружения)

The amount of Russian historical propaganda embedded in this game's lore is astonishing. Its descriptions of Kievan Rus, Novgorod, Smolensk, and Eastern Europe repeat long-debunked imperial Russian narratives instead of reflecting modern historical scholarship. The game constantly projects the modern Russian national identity back into the 9th–13th centuries, referring to "Russians" centuries before such an identity even existed. Kievan Rus is effectively presented through a Moscow-centric historical lens, echoing narratives heavily promoted by the Russian state. If you're looking for historical authenticity, don't expect it here. This feels less like history and more like Russian imperial mythology disguised as historical flavor text. I bought this game and genuinely regret spending my money on a product that, in my view, helps spread Russian imperial propaganda.
