Such a great game. Takes you back with that retro feel. Definitely not a game for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ though, difficulty is hard as. But if you're up to the task, the satisfaction you get on completing levels is superb, game play is great and the graphics are gorgeous. Would defo recommend.

Honestly really good game for the price

This game needs more love! For its price, it's amazing and great to fill a few hours of your life!

Unmemorable but still a solid action platformer that ticks all the boxes. There’s almost no story here. You’re just a generic knight who has to save the land. The game plays like any other side-scrolling action game. The only options available to you besides movement are jump and attack. There are no special attacks, and you don't acquire any new abilities. Controls work fine. However, if a gamepad is your first preference, you'll need to set up keys in the settings because the attack button is not included in the default configuration. You won't encounter that issue again once you've fixed it. The game takes you across twenty stages. They split into five widely recognized places, including the castle and the winter world. Each location comes with unique enemies so you won’t get bored. Although the game is linear, completed stages can be re-played whenever you want from the main map. There are no secrets, thus there isn't much of a motive to do this. You can try to improve your grade that’s represented by three shields, whose color depends on the number of collected coins, but that’s only for the achievement. Stages are filled with enemies and floating coins. When defeated, destructible items like pots and enemies also drop coins, however they must be gathered quickly because they vanish after a ridiculous short amount of time. This becomes a huge issue when going for the best shield because even a single missed coin can ruin your run. The worst and literary impossible are boss stages. Once you kill the boss, coins start flying all over the screen. In one stage I made sure to grab every coin, but I still couldn’t get the best grade. Another problem is that you don’t know how many coins you need for the best grade. Coins can be spent in the shop, which is always accessible on the map. Along with several upgrades for your health and sword, you may purchase other useful items like a shield and boots that let you move more quickly. Around the halfway point of the game, if you collect the majority of the coins you come across, you should be able to empty the shop. Well, I said there are no special attacks, but that’s not exactly true. Stages contain special orbs that enhance your sword. It might start unleashing fireballs, thunderbolts, or ice arrows. Powers stack, which makes it fun if you have all three at once. The bad news is that each time you get hit, you lose a power. The game’s pretty easy even without those powers. The only real threat are pits that kill you instantly. Bosses won’t be a trouble because you can simply rush straight at them and mash the button. Except for the disappearing coins, the only issue I came across was finicky jumping around edges. Sometimes you’re stopped by something invisible when trying to jump on platform above you.

its fun and kind quaint, and seems to get little regular updates here and there.

Fun 2D scroll game. Cool pixel art and music. If you like this genre its deffs worth the few $$ for a bit of fun
