Very fun game to just relax and run around in.
one of the worst games ive ever played
Short and simple zelda-like. Nothing crazy but still a fun little adventure!
GAY
Basically a NES/SNES Zelda game, but with no overworld and some puzzles - tough ones, actually. The game wears its inspiration and limitations on its sleeve, and is priced fairly. Note, the R key or select/back on a controller resets block puzzles. This is an easily-missed "tutorial" that can cause a ton of frustration.
The Good
+Frequent save and resting spots +Three save profiles +Can go back to old dungeons if you missed something, including post-credits +Game tracks collectibles on world map +Available cheat codes, though they disable achievements +4-5 hours playtime, which is perfect for the price and time it takes to get dull +I'm pretty sure those ghosts were pixel-flipping me off before disappearing
YMMV
~Most puzzles require patient thought/observation/experimentation ~A few light bullet hell rooms can be annoying ~Bosses, while not unfair, can be a difficulty spike. The last one has some RNG elements. ~Your character isn't as agile as needed. Iframes on the dash would help. ~Speaking of which, the flame dash is pretty useless ~One achievement requires speedrunning
The Bad
-Would have been very helpful to display the current dungeon level in the HUD -The hint about resetting block puzzles is very easy to miss[understand] Played on: Win11Pro, i7-14700K, RTX5060 Ti 16GB, 32GB DDR5-6000 @ 1920x1080 Using PDP Rematch Advanced Wired Controller for Xbox Series X|S
A fun, little game. But better don't expect too much from it, since it doesn't own a good story and even the ending is very simple. It amused me to see all of the Zelda comparisions, because for myself it reminded me way more of Sega's "Golden Axe Warrior", which offered a Zelda-alike rpg-game, too.
