Played the classic game many years ago in flash, it was one of the best flash games out there. This successor game has nothing to envy to the original, the story is entertaining, the graphics are great and the fight mechanics are on point. Still, the grinding of this game can be tedious, but thats why this game remains true to the classic one, which is nice.
Game is rated 6.5/10 in its current state. Story: The story is quite good, but there are many questions about the fate of Camelot's residents that remain unanswered, especially for loyal knights. Some residents have no role or meaning. Castle: The 2nd level of the building has no real significance in the game, only visual. So, advice for newcomers: one level of building is enough to enable specific NPC traits. Spend precious soul stones upgrading your character instead, specifically trying to maximize weapon damage ASAP. P.S. For the sake of all designers, replace the animation and sound of building repair, as both are bad and annoying. Level Design: It is mediocre. Nothing more to add. Gameplay: Gameplay mechanics are satisfying and addictive, but this game requires some polishing. Some knights, specifically Tristan, need to be fixed; his finisher has a strange hitbox. The skill should be reworked; otherwise, it is useless against a single enemy (devs, you know what I mean). Gawain's skill should have no health at all due to its already very limited lifespan. I have finished at least one run with each sword/skill, except for Tristan's sword/skill. This means that characters are quite interesting and provide a unique playstyle, which is very good. Also, combining the sword of one character and the skill of another seems a bit awkward. Many merchant items are useless, or their price/quality ratio is quite bad compared to some other items. Also, it seems to me that the value of items (damage, crit chance, etc.) should be adjusted for each selected sword/skill to make them feel meaningful. For instance, adding +3 damage to a heavy but slow sword is relatively nothing, while adding +3 damage to a quick throwing knife is okay. Gold accumulation feels too grindy, unless there is more end-game content planned in the near future. After beating the main story, there is no end-game content or side activities, so I have abruptly lost interest in subsequent runs. Bosses: Mini-bosses (1st biome area boss) are good. However, some of them have strange hitboxes or unintuitive hit/behavioral patterns. Bosses (giants) in my opinion from 1st to 3rd are: perfect, disaster, easy. However, the 3rd giant, even though it looks (and looks only) quite badass, personally for me feels a bit stripped out of the general visual narrative. Final and final-final bosses are very good in my opinion. Summary: A good game that can keep your interest for a few evenings or weeks.
the last boss fight is kinda stupid (architect), the fact that you need to destroy 4 crystals every 10% of its hp is so so retar*ed design
Very entertaining game.
Very straight forward game set, simple. but get me lose interest after a few runs. The abilities are not quite useful and choices are limited. The growth curve is a little tedious.
Controls are very responsive and gameplay is enjoyable, even though the game is quite basic
