Kitchen Sync: Aloha!

Very fun cooking game with much less time pressure than typical cooking games (there is a timer but it pauses while you choose your next action). The story/visual novel part is cute and progression is not grindy if you do the side quests alongside the main story. Played only on Steam Deck and it ran great.

How does this game not have more reviews yet??? It's absolutely adorable and so much fun!! I love all the different difficulty modes, and the art style, and the characters! I truly feel like I've come across a hidden gem with this one, and I've only just started playing! :) Edit: Okay, now that I've finished it... I love it even more!!! Absolutely worth the full price! It's like playing a wholesome, slice of life cooking anime!! <3 There's so much to love here. From the gameplay styles, to the characters, to the clear love for the food and culture, it's just...*chef's kiss* perfect. I love that you can ship different characters together if you want too! Adds just another, really sweet and fun touch, and also gives it some replay value if you want to see different outcomes! (And yes, there are gay options! :D) The only complaint I would have at all, is that the minigames are as bare bones as you can get, but considering they just help function as another way to up relationship points, it's really not that big of a deal. I definitely enjoyed this one, and would love to see another game like this!!

I really loved it!

This game has been absolutely charming and delightful. A simple outing, but it wears its inspirations prouldy, and it does well by them. Lemonpepper says they made a cooking game inspired by the Fire Emblem style, and, you know what, they succeeded with flying colours. It feels weird to say when 2025 was full of such high profile games, but Kitchen Sync: Aloha is seriously top tier from that year. If I were to make a Top 10 of games that came out that year, Aloha would make an appearance. Gorgeous art, silly and earnest story, endearing cast, and just so full of heart. And the gameplay, of course! I was so deep into "just one more service" that I powered through the entire game, all the sidequests, all the supports, in the course of a week. The chefs, the skills, the levelling, the menus, the kitchen-specific-challenges, it all just comes together. At the risk of making the obvious joke, Lemonpepper absolutely cooked with this.

This game is a sleeper hit. I hope that it gains popularity and that this studio gets more love. Kitchen Sync Aloha is a cooking game set in Hawaii. You work with a team of chefs and can develop everyone’s relationships with each other. This game is polished and addicting. I highly highly recommend. It’s the ultimate cozy cooking game.

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoy this game. It's in-depth without being frustrating. The music is nice; and I really enjoy learning about Hawaiian foods. And the added lifesim/rpg elements work really well. It's a well-balanced, well-paced, cozy cooking game. 10\10 hidden gem.

An extremely fun, highly nostalgic game for all folks who loved restaurant games from the past!

Well, I have achieved all achievements before writing this review. The story and gameplay are overall interesting and addictive. Although sometimes I feel the gameplay is a bit repetitive, I will love it again after period of time. So, it is actually quite worth to buy and support this game for its storyline, gameplay and also the gaming hours. [b] PS: If you really really hate repetitive gameplay, consideration should be made before buying. [/b]
