Recommended, but only on sale. It's a 10y old game and the graphics are accordingly. The gameplay is very simple, don't expect much. But if you like HOGs, try it - I think it's well made, the background story about secret orders and magic is not too absurd and I didn't discover any bugs.
Sehr schönes Spiel, die Rätsel sind weder zu schwer bzw. unlogisch noch zu einfach. Very nice game, the puzzles are neither too difficult or illogical nor too easy.
HOLY ****, ENJOY LISTENING TO THE HINT CHIME THE ENTIRE GAME. I DON'T KNOW HOW I FINISHED THIS.
Welcome to the first game in the series! Oh it says "2"? Well... Big Fish now owns the rights to it, so... You will have to play it off Steam. If you wont/can't... This is your first and second game at the same time! I'll agree that it's annoying that you don't get the story from the first one. There are brief mentions about it in this game... But that's just it. It's more interesting to play through the story though. This one plays a little differently than other H.O.Gs you might be accustomed to. Instead of walking through one scene to another... You can be in one scene, zoom in closer to an AREA in a scene... Then another zoom into an Area 2 in Area 1. When I first tried it... It was a mess. Then you slightly get used to it. Then you realize there is a map and you can teleport on it. Cool. As for everything else... It's just okay. Nothing is too complicated and Achievements can be gotten from one playthrough. Story is simple... Until you get side stories and then I was confused wth happened in the Land of the Dead. Oh well. THE BEST part of the whole thing is... THE SHIP! YES! IT'S like an overpowered character. It can
travel back in time. Repair any damages to it. Navigate without a crew. It's equipped with everything one might need and there is plenty of space for more!
Excitement about the ship aside... I hope the next games in the series will be more engaging. Although they can keep the ship. The ship is awesome! Thanks! :>

Leaving a review because I purchased this series for my wife and at the end of the game it bugged and she could not proceed after receiving the specter. My wife put hours into this game just to get cucked. I really want her to get into PC gaming and this was the first game she tried. For it to pull the rug last minute really pissed me off. FAT L
You've played one, you'll play them all anyway. Gotta admit, though, that this one was a bit tricky.
These Artifex games aren't bad in general, but this one isn't their best. The puzzles are a little too easy and somewhat overused. How many concentric ring puzzles can we put into one game? There's also several jigsaws and key quests upon key quests. The HO scenes are moderately challenging, especially if you are trying for the speed achievement. The artwork (and the dialog at times) has an AI feel to it. I did enjoy the "Enigmatis" series but this one has a less interesting story. I may get some of the others in this series if they're on sale.
Worst hidden object game I've ever played, I don't recommend it!
a little too easy for a HOG, and the hint button chimes *every minute*, it is so annoying I cannot handle it. IF they fixed the hint button I would recommend this game because the story is interesting and it is still an interesting HOG despite being too easy. Because that's probably not going to happen I guess I wouldn't?
