I usually only type negative reviews to protect people from wasting their money. This game, however, is a thumbs up. Awesome mix of adventure, roguelike/rpg, and auto battler. It combines aspects from many games I respect including dota underlords and gloomhaven. + You pick the party members all with unique skills to take part in each quest/battle. + Characters level up and you can choose their paths on the skill tree. + Simple to learn and understand, yet challenging to succeed the further you progress. + Procedural quest generator which looks like it will make for great replay value! (I am still fairly early on in the game) + Dialogue of characters adds depth to the adventure map - - My only complaint so far is that THERE IS NO MANUAL SAVE. Depending on auto save at the end of a turn is disappointing and inconvenient. I hope this is the first thing added.
Love this game. Loads of characters, lots of gear to play with, and really fun autochess gameplay. The voices add a great dimension also. Needs a little polish (font, UI, clunky dialogue boxes, spelling, a few bugs) but the developers are pushing out patches and are active in their Discussions page. This game is obviously made by people who enjoy what they're doing and it shows. Been binging a whole bunch of hours into it immediately after buying it. I used to love Ogre Battle back in the day and this is an adorable callback to those battle mechanics. The battlemap polygons are ADORABLE. The exchanges between characters are adorable. Seeing the characters doing little idle animations in the hideout is adorable. Also please never ever change the battle victory animation for the guy with the flamethrower. Let him accidentally torch his surviving friends in celebration forever.

Buggy Game. Equip items unable to unequip sometimes, Items appearing on main screen and could not go away unless you reload. Voice acting is terrible. Do not like the infinity of fire / water etc. But it is the bugs that put me off. Seriously. Please fix the games. At least be bugs free when trying to equip.
Crashed 5 minutes in.
Pros: - Fun gameplayloop - Fully voice acted story - Deep mechanics, lots to optimise withount beeing too grindy Cons: - Fighting animations look alitlebit clunky (this is an indie game afterall) - No manual safe funktion, the game only safes automatically after fights. So you can't plan your fites and start them later.
Overall a very fun game, i highly recommend it
A great game with even greater developers (more on that below). Description: You select battles on a campaign map. Those battles play themselves, with your input being: The formation of your group with synerchy of classes, races and alignments, the setup before battle, and the use of consumables during battles. These chosen battles are varied with story encounters and every ten turns a hefty invasion of your home camp. It is a very original game, and though it does not have the best 3D graphics, the gameplay is very good. It is a difficult and challenging game, mainly because a difficulty meter automatically progresses as you win battles. My gameplay tip is: Use the option to lower that difficulty a LOT (it will increase afterwards again), untill you have levelled up and geared up your characters. That way I got almost all achievements and reached the full difficulty meter (an achievement as well). Special mention about the developers: I got stuck with progressing the story, and after some contact on their discord channel and here on Steam (discord is accessible in game), they fixed my problem within a day though emailing saved games. Something you will never see with big AAA companies. If you like loot, gearing up and min-maxing characters, this is a fine game. I really recommend it.
I was actually surprised at how deep the RPG elements get. Lots of ideas were put into this game.
Updated review: After updating my graphics drivers and downloading the 2 quickfixes I don't seems to have any problem playing the game anymore :) The game is nice, my kind of game :) The battle camera needs work, because I often find myself rotating alot to check who is attacking who. That should be obvious without having to do that. A slightly more bird view would probably fix that. Gameplay seems unbalanced. Some heroes are a lot better than others. Luckily the gear can help to help mitigate that. Some heroes scale alot better than others though. More healers wouldn't be a bad Idea. The game needs a manual save. Autosaving at the end of turn is fine, but I like to be able to save after each combat. Redoing the whole turn if messing something up is not fun... bascially 30+ min wasted when having many groups or doing dungeons. Good support from devs :)
