Oh, dear reader, it seems you've stumbled upon a game called "Kings Blood." Now, I hate to sound condescending, but it appears that this game might have been crafted by someone who, let's say, isn't the brightest bulb in the box. I mean, is it the result of a mentally challenged individual or just a victim of some horrendous translation mishaps? Who's to say? Now, let's try to find something positive here. Bless their little hearts; the developers seem to have poured their soul into this project. The art is nice, and the voice acting is good. However, when it comes to gameplay, it's like they threw everything and the kitchen sink into the mix – 40+ characters, identical skill trees, and a buffet of confusing elemental rock-paper-scissor buffs/nerfs. It's like they wanted you to juggle more balls than a circus performer. And the gameplay? Oh, prepare yourself for a riveting experience. Spend your time min/maxing, strategizing formations, only to have your troops go rogue and attack randomly when you hit the "Go" button. Win or lose, rinse and repeat. It's about as rewarding as trying to teach a cat to fetch. Let's not forget the joy of dealing with tedious micromanagement. Too tough? Lower the difficulty. Too easy? Well, just keep on plodding until you hit a roadblock. The whole experience feels like a colossal waste of time with minimal payoff. And heaven forbid they offer a demo for you to test the waters before diving headfirst into this mess. A hint for the developers: hint hint! Now, credit where credit is due – the devs tried really, really hard. The characters seem to have a life of their own, complete with gimmicks, traits, and flaws. Bravo for putting more thought into your characters than some AAA games, but alas, that alone doesn't make up for the lackluster gameplay and unconvincing story. Save your hard-earned cash; this one might not be worth the full price. Wait for a sale, if you dare.

I'm only a few hours into the game, but so far this game is everything I wanted which was is a PVE auto-battler (like Riot's Teamfight Tactics but PVE only because I don't enjoy the TFT PVP meta chase). I'll report back later to comment on how strategic the auto battling system is, but so far it seems to have enough depth with multiple character traits to form teams around and an element weakness system to make placement on the combat board strategic. Overall I am having a ton of fun and look forward to experiencing more!
I usually only type negative reviews to protect people from wasting their money. This game, however, is a thumbs up. Awesome mix of adventure, roguelike/rpg, and auto battler. It combines aspects from many games I respect including dota underlords and gloomhaven. + You pick the party members all with unique skills to take part in each quest/battle. + Characters level up and you can choose their paths on the skill tree. + Simple to learn and understand, yet challenging to succeed the further you progress. + Procedural quest generator which looks like it will make for great replay value! (I am still fairly early on in the game) + Dialogue of characters adds depth to the adventure map - - My only complaint so far is that THERE IS NO MANUAL SAVE. Depending on auto save at the end of a turn is disappointing and inconvenient. I hope this is the first thing added.
I'm enjoying the game. Story is interesting, voice acting is very passionate, and it's fun to create strong little builds. I also like the various reward systems, character interactions, and unique game style. This game formula has a lot of untapped potential and offers a more creative experience than most of what is on the market in 2024. Where the game is at it's weakest is the tedious micromanagement, the battles lacking control and having bugs with the alchemy items, and the worst thing of all: lack of quality of life features for the inventory. The alchemy items can quickly lag your game when you have too many, and you have to sell them one by one which is gonna give me arthritis one of these days. This game had big aspirations, and either due to inexperience or lack of resources, I'd say they didn't manage to reach those aspirations. That isn't to say the game is bad—It's great! It's just some game aspects don't work very well, and the gameplay can become repetitive. If this game changed the inventory so items stacked, rather than registering as individual items (and so that you could sell a number of that stack if you so wished), this game would be one of my favourites. It might also get rid of the lag from having too many items. Overall, the game's greatest selling points is its passion and writing. For the price it is currently at, $7 AUD, it is definitely worth giving a go, and supporting the passionate developers. If the devs read this: - Please fix the inventory! - You made a great game, and I'll be looking forward to what you create next, if you decide to create another game :)
I just had a brief look at the game but as I see it, this is a little hidden gem. No bugs that i noticed, a nice evolving story in the first hour of gameplay and a nice autobattler filled with good item/base building/ skill progress. For me it is a YES Ich habe es bisher nur kurz angespielt aber was ich bisher gesehen habe reicht für eine Empfehlung.
Hidden gem of an indie game. It combines good storytelling (voiced), some base building, group management and auto batteling. I did not have that much fun with an indie game for a long time.

Un gameplay addictif : simple mais requérant aussi de la réflexion. "Allez, encore une quête ! " ;
La possibilité de réduire la difficulté lorsqu'on est bloqué ;
Une réalisation simple, mais propre et lisible ;
Une histoire pas inintéressante et des personnages avec leur personnalité ;
Le côté gestion de compagnie, pas trop présent, mais juste ce qu'il faut pour donner envie de continuer à jouer ;
Pas de bug chez moi ;
Des développeurs à l'écoute ;
Le jeu est intégralement doublé en anglais.

Les moins

Il faut adhérer au concept de combat automatique ;
Les graphismes des modèles un peu polygonaux ;
L'absence de cinématique animée ;

Conclusion
Note : 8/10
