It's a cool little game, the passion project of someone. It's pretty simple, you walk around the world map, completing quests and recruiting people. It's all turn based and the combat is automatic. The complexity comes that every recruit has passive modifiers based on their race, class, element afinity; and paring recruits with others that posses the same passives makes both stronger, so party composition is king in this game. It's a nice time waster.
Tons of fun building synergistic parties of troops to counter the various missions the game offers up. Building your base is cool. Voice acting throughout and a passable narrative are an unexpected bonus. Skill trees are fine, but nothing special. Maximizing gear for each hero can be very rewarding. I even like watching the battles play out, though I'm typically not an autochess fan. The game is far from AAA but I've had hours of solid entertainment for the small asking price.

Updated review: After updating my graphics drivers and downloading the 2 quickfixes I don't seems to have any problem playing the game anymore :) The game is nice, my kind of game :) The battle camera needs work, because I often find myself rotating alot to check who is attacking who. That should be obvious without having to do that. A slightly more bird view would probably fix that. Gameplay seems unbalanced. Some heroes are a lot better than others. Luckily the gear can help to help mitigate that. Some heroes scale alot better than others though. More healers wouldn't be a bad Idea. The game needs a manual save. Autosaving at the end of turn is fine, but I like to be able to save after each combat. Redoing the whole turn if messing something up is not fun... bascially 30+ min wasted when having many groups or doing dungeons. Good support from devs :)
nifty little autochess RPG. the tooltips, UI, and camera all get a little in the way sometimes, but overall a good little game. the news says it is set to be delisted. shame
Really fun game, pretty good voice acting and the combat was cool, building parties was fun. The companions were all cool and I really enjoyed the ending slides with all of them! The only real issue I had was that game started to lag in the menus towards the end when I had too many items, but overall I had a lot of fun! Would definitely recommend to anyone that likes auto battlers and inventory/companion management.
Nice game to kill time.. However hate the affinity system. (Pentagrams are not cool) Would have been a much better game without the "this is weak against this system"
So far so good. I LOVE controlling a mercenary guild and most of the other aspects. Will update once I finish.

Full screen mode bugs up A LOT, so play in windowed mode (select in options).
