About
Kingforge is not just about building — it’s about creating a kingdom that actually lives.

You start with nothing.
Gather resources, place your first structures, and slowly attract villagers to your land.
From there, things begin to grow on their own.
Villagers are not just background characters.
They work, eat, sleep, and make decisions based on their roles.
You can assign them jobs such as farming, woodcutting, building, or guarding.
Each one plays a part in your kingdom’s survival — and if things go wrong, they’ll feel it too.

What begins as survival gradually turns into a functioning system.
You produce food, expand production, build homes, and manage a growing population.
Everything is connected.
A weak link can break the whole chain.
As your kingdom grows, it also becomes a target.
Bandits will start to appear, and the pressure will increase over time.
You’ll need to defend and improve what you’ve built.
Train guards, secure your borders, and make sure your people are ready.

The world itself is fully interactive.
You can shape the land, build however you want, and design your kingdom your own way —
from a small settlement to something much bigger.
There’s no single way to play.
Every decision you make changes how your kingdom develops.
Kingforge is currently in Early Access and still evolving.
New systems, professions, and mechanics are planned for future updates, including mod support.
Your feedback will directly influence the direction of the game.

Pros and cons Pros Optimization for the most part is great an occasional hiccup might occur but nothing too bad. Runs great on Steam Deck on ultra settings max animals and chunks. Gameplay feels very minecraft like punch tree get log, punch stone get stone kind of thing. Combat (animals only) feels good but might need balancing for actual enemies. Crafting is simple and quick. Cons Graphics are meh not a big deal to me but may be a bigger deal to others. I have not seen any enemies so they may be missing from the game currently. Found no surface stone had to dig down until I found some. No tools mining is really slow once you craft tools it does improve a lot. Crafting may be too simplistic for some players. Day and night cycle feels off to me. Felt like night lasted a lot longer. Needs some QOL stuff like single block automatic step up. Didn't see a toggle for this in the settings. Is this worth $6 I would say yes if you don't mind the negatives I listed. 7/10 https://youtu.be/lA2GN3J_Ums?si=_ijozbpMabDcVd__
First of all this game is surprisingly addictive. I was like "Yet another minecraft clone, huh?" but the game changed my perspective really fast. First 2 hours is just like minecraft but after you establish your kingdom and start to hire workers the whole game changes. It's all automation after that. Right now there is not much content so I just accumulated incredible amounts of silver/gold and food but I firmly believe that this game is promising and currently waiting for new updates. Also It's just 6 dollars so I think it's worth a shot anyways.
I have not restarted this game 3 times. A complete restart. I love playing it is very well put together for an early access. My problem seems to be hiring the workers. I have farmers that don't plant when give the seeds, a woodcutter that does not plant saplings or cut trees, hiring workers that don't show up or just disappear and the reason for the restart on the second game was I got locked out of accessing my base. Could see the flag, but it was as if a wall was placed and I could not progress to it. I will continue to play and hope these are just bugs. Look forward to more playing
The beginning is kind of what you would expect and ok but the kingdom aspect is pretty confusing there's not really much information on it. There also doesn't seem to be any towns to trade or anything. I'll give it a positive for now because it might just be me doing something wrong and it is pretty new and i'll update as i go. EDiT: it’s kind of my fault so I will partially eat it. It if a worker needs to plant they have to have dirt place around them or be placed on dirt they won’t find dirt and if you place a miner you have to make sure they are within your kingdom border which they seem to infinite mine and only one block which might be op.
