It may not hold the same value as the 1.5+2.5 HD Collection, but if you got it alongside the Integrum Masterpiece collection, you do get Dream Drop Distance, a somewhat fun game with the typical KH gameplay with a monster collector gimmick added to the combat, plus BBS 0.2, a short prologue of sorts for KH3, and both are worth a look if you have them in your library and on a KH binge. Can't say anything about the movie they included as I didn't bother watching it.
I finally beat KH DDD on PC, but I'm running into an issue. The game crashes before I can get to the end-game Save Screen. I'm probably going to skip doing this KH game at Level 1 because I won't be able to unlock the Optional Boss. Other people have had this same exact issues, so anyone who plays KH DDD it's better to play it on PS4 as much as I hate saying that. I've even tried lowering the graphics setting to as low as it can go. It's so dumb. Square Enix really wants more people to play their games, they had better start acting like it.
Dream Drop Distance: Dream Drop Distance being the first and longer of the two games in the collection is a port of the 3DS game of the same name with certain systems such as the dream eater bonding and flick rush making it obvious it was initially made for a handheld The plot revolves around Sora and Riku travelling to various sleeping worlds and waking them up by sealing the keyholes to awaken a power to help with the fight against Organisation XII Gameplay is some of the best in the series due to systems such as Flowmotion making combat feel incredible to do, the spirits system is useful for unlocking abilities and stat buffs but they don’t do a ton in battle themselves. The drop system is at worst a minor annoyance if you forget to use drop-me-nots before important moments such as bosses but it fits well into the story aspects of the game Each world has satisfying design throughout and the IPs picked are very good choices with the best world being Symphony of Sorcery based on Disney's Fantasia, the blend of musical elements tying into the combat and world design is peak. The worst world is probably Country of the Musketeers due to having overall more confusing design and annoying enemies/music Overall a 9/10 game 0.2 Birth By Sleep A Fragmentary Passage: 0.2 serves as a tech demo/prologue for KH3 and is very short overall (around 2-3 hours to fully finish) with the 100% taking probably around 10 hours or so. 0.2 focuses on Aqua after the events of Birth by Sleeps final episode and her fall into the realm of darkness The short episode follows Aqua through 4 places in the realm of darkness based around areas she visited in Birth by Sleep Gameplay doesnt include additions from DDD such as flowmotion but it still flows very well with the basic spells and situation commands working together to make combat still feel good at a basic level Overall a 9/10 game
Great games that continue to build on the story and future of Kingdom Hearts with Sora, Riku and Aqua. I highly recommend playing it before continuing on to KH3!
