King's Orders is a simplified historical strategy game with an important innovation. You command your armies by sending letters with orders. Messengers with these letters travel the land and can be lost or intercepted. Generals execute orders upon receipt and send you reports the same dangerous way.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

great game
Game has potentials, but sadly it's a bit shallow. I bought it for $7 AUD (about 4 USD) on sale so I guess it's worth it. I'd rate it about 6.5/10
I have mixed feelings about this game. It has a very interesting concept, but the execution is quite poor. The UI is annoying. I'm talking especially about the "mailbox" tab. It has to be manually open and closed because it takes too much space, and we get a new mail like every few seconds. The AI is stupid as hell, it can insult me for no reason and then send gifts. The DLC show more or less how combat looks, and how stupid AI is. Its decision making is absolutely chaotic and stupid. In summary, not a terrible game, but very shallow, not worth more than 5$

Very interesting way to play a game of this sort but it makes sense. Well think about it, no telephones, no internet, and no marconi so this is about how it would be back in those days. I did enjoy playing it for a bit but the map, and pawns (moving pieces) are ugly. The colors are shiny, and so very bad is what made me get a refund. The core game mechanics are solid, and if you enjoy walls of text then this game would be something you could enjoy. I didn't mind reading through the messages, in fact it drew me in even further. I own a couple of Crusader Kings games, and the dev had the good mind to work the colors on the map, pawns etc, and when I played this game I was offended by the color scheme, and it's very very bad. I mean it's very bad. Do I suggest the game? Yeah I do but the game is very ugly (map, and pawns). Note: Dev, I really liked the game but the colors are bad. Not the text or messages etc, just the main map, and pawns are horrible looking (colors). PLEASE change these for goodness sakes alive. I wish I was able to keep the game but my eyes got very tired because of the colors.
Although the base concept is great, the game itself is extremely boring due to AI not recruiting troops at a comparable level to the player. I played as Al Andalus in reconquista and England in hundred years war, you start with 5k as Al Andalus and 8k as England, which is enough to recruit thousands of troops of all kinds and build up your country, when two starting armies number several hundred. With income you can recruit a thousand spearmen or archers, or lower amounts of heavy cav. I am not sure if the AI even recruits any troops. Enemy army sizes largely stayed the same. Biggest challenge was rebels in reconquista scenario which started with around 3000 in total in each city. Once I dealt with them, Castile-Leon rolled over. There is a difficulty setting but hard mode only reduces your units attack and gives more funds to the enemy, which is numbers based difficulty that I don't think will make the ai better. Many actions such as sending units or diplomacy are poorly implemented and should require less clicks. edit: The game seems more balanced in the Norman conquest scenario which has the tutorial. So it is the other scenarios that need balancing.
good
