Tons of FUN!!

Extremely dull and mediocre HOG. Definitly one of the worst i've played. Uninspired plot, dull puzzles (and there are only a handfull really) and some very annoying hidden object scenes.

This has been my favorite game for the past 5 years. I've replayed it multiple times. I love the storyline, the characters, the music, and the artwork. It's inspired me to write my own medieval-era adventure stories. Every time I replay it I notice details I hadn't noticed before, some of which subtly play into the storyline to give hints that an alert player can see. This really does enhance the playing experience. So I highly recommend this game.

Ein solides Wimmelspiel! Ich habe ca. 4 Stunden für das Spiel + Bonus gebraucht! Alle Errungenschaften konnten auch eingesammelt werden - somit gibt es für mich keinen Grund warum man dieses Spiel nicht empfehlen sollte! Danke dafür - das hat mir Spaß gemacht! :)

Very beautiful game and good storyline. A regular point and click game and the music is not annoying which is a plus.

La curva de dificultad es sumamente accesible, permitiendo elegir entre varios modos de juego y contando con el clásico botón de pista por si algún objeto oculto se resiste a tu vista. [h3]🎨 Apartado Técnico/Visual[/h3] Visualmente es un título precioso que destaca por sus detallados escenarios ilustrados a mano, los cuales recrean a la perfección la majestuosidad y los rincones oscuros de un reino medieval de fantasía. Las cinemáticas y las transiciones entre pantallas aportan una agradable fluidez a la aventura. El apartado sonoro acompaña la experiencia con una banda sonora orquestal épica que intensifica el misterio en las dosis justas. Al ser un juego basado en gráficos estáticos y puzles, su rendimiento en PC es impecable, no consume apenas recursos y es una opción ideal y comodísima para jugar de forma portátil en la Steam Deck. [h3]🏆 Desafío y Logros[/h3] Alcanzar el 100% de los logros es un proceso muy directo pero que requiere de toda tu atención. La lista de logros de Steam premia la precisión y la paciencia: completar el juego en la dificultad más exigente (donde las pistas no destacan las zonas activas), resolver escenas de objetos ocultos en pocos segundos sin fallar clics, o superar todos los minijuegos de lógica sin utilizar la opción de "saltar". Al incluir también un capítulo de bonificación coleccionista en su historia, es un platino redondo y muy gratificante de completar en un par de sesiones de juego. I hope Geoff Castellucci got a nod for them using his entire face for the main character, lol! No singing, sadly- he's not actually involved in the game, aside from the striking resemblance- but this game does still have some of the best voice acting I've encountered in a hidden object game. It's just overall MUCH higher quality than the fare one normally encounters in the genre. Artifex Mundi haven't been this good in ages! (Suspension of disbelief is still necessary, of course. But we're at least given a reason to have believed, in the first place.) There is also a recurring mini-game, seen in the trailer, in which we, the king's knight player character, fight off opponents w/ our sword. (Not gory, though dead bodies are occasionally shown.) It's a nice switch-up from the common HOG-trope of being a police officer/soldier w/ a weapon, & straining credulity to solve villain encounters w/ Rube Goldberg plot devices like shooting a chain to drop a chandelier instead of shooting the bad guy. No egregious use the banana-on-the-goat's-elbow moon logic here, either. Hidden object scenes don't look like a garage sale at a high school theater prop room, either. They're pretty much as pictured, & not maddeningly pixel-hunt-y. TLDR: If you even kind of like HOG's, this is a great one!

I usually play heavy story RPGs, but they're so LONG, so I was exploring some shorter options that still satisfy at least a tiny bit of that desire for story. I watched gameplay on YouTube for another game by this studio, and I decided to bite the bullet and buy a few of them while they were on sale. Coincidentally, this one was already on my wish list, so I started with it. I wasn't disappointed. I finished the game and the bonus content in a little over 3.5 hours, including the extra time it takes me as a newbie to sort out some of the puzzles. It's relaxing, but with just enough required thought to keep it from being boring.
