Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
This game could use more content and bug fixes still. Dev decided it was a better idea to go silent for half a year after promising updates then announced on discord they are making a 2nd game. Hoping the new game is better then this one but can't say this game didn't sour me. I wouldn't buy into early access again knowing the first product was delivered like a cake without the icing.
Sadly Supermarket Simulator is already a better game than this. - While I still want to play this game and give it a chance dev decided to make a sequel instead of making the game smooth and actually playable. Sorry I will not buy King of retail 2.

Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.44/day in the week to Aug 4 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great game but **** day mechanic absolutely ruins it. Being able to only visit 1 of your stores in a day makes absolutely no sense. I should be able to leave a store, go to my headquarters and go to another store to check on it all in the same day. I mean come on how am I supposed to effectively manage 5 stores when I can only visit one of them a day? I do not understand how some people can enjoy this mechanic. I am hoping that the developer does not implement such a stupid mechanic in KOR2.
So buggy but at least the dev is making a second one instead of fixing this one
abandonware, bought it as early access, when the dev was still updating the game. Then something happened, and he decided that naah, lets the next update be the final version, but it doesn't make early access to a final product by just changing the version number and removing the early access -tag. This game has huge potential and as early access it was great, but as a final version without any updates this isn't a good game, at least at full price.
The developer abandoned it and is working on the second...
Game is dead. No updates coming and Dev is making King of Retail 2. Dosen´t even fix his first Game.
I like this game, it has flaws but the overall gameplay loop is satisfying enough. I would have played it for longer, but I encountered a game breaking bug where my wares would reduce cost to 0, over and over, randomly. Since the dev is working on the sequal, I expect this to remain unfixed.
Sells trusting customers a game Abandons it Returns announcing a new game, trust me this time guys
