King Arthur II: The Role-Playing Wargame

Great game for an Arthurian Legends enthusiast. Music, map, art, and setting are all great. Combat can range from fun to annoying with the biggest complaint being the wonky camera controls: think a poor man's Total War style. However the tone, choose your own adventure style adventures that emphasize choice, and the overall presentation and mood make up for any shortcomings and I thoroughly enjoyed playing both this and King Arthur 1.

El primero me encantó y este... De verdad que he intentado por todos los medios de que me gustase pero ha sido imposible. En el gameplay es un paso atrás, ya no hay tanto enfasis en las formaciones y, de hecho, las unidades rompen las formaciones al entrar en combate. This is a fantastical wargame with much of the Arthurian lore on a grander scale. Whereas the first game retold the classic legends, the second begins to mold its own tales with more welcomed narration. There are a few changes and many enhancements to what was already a great game. Much of the first game's elements and systems are familiar here with improvements. The world map is easier to navigate, and the army screen is immediately shown for better management, along with reserve forces and the ability to recruit units outside of settlements. The map has expanded combat options to enhance the battles and combat feels quicker. The hero screens are better organized, with more equipment slots and skill trees for abilities and passives, and units have more options when leveling. Additions include new units, especially mythical ones. Diplomacy plays a greater role and is reworked with more options. Each building in a region has its own growth and management; development happens simultaneously, and the building benefits are changed. Lore replaces research, and the tree was trimmed down; it is simpler, and lore can be spent during diplomacy. The games are a bit rough; however, it is a great sequel to the first game, a legendary epic worth the ride and serves to influence Neocore's later titles.

Still a buggy mess after all of these years. Regret getting this game.

Po wieli latach od zakupu, znalazłem spolszczenie i zagrałem. Gra w porządku, podoba mi się historia. Przeszedłem kampanię bez smoków. Dziwne bo na load screenach wszędzie smoki i smoko ludzie. W akcie 4 zaczęły się wywalania do pulpitu kilka razy. Co wymagało zmniejszenia jakości grafiki i granie na speedzie aby wyprzedzić wywalenie gry przed zakończeniem bitwy. Koniec to trochę niedosyt. Jednak po polsku polecam. Zwłaszcza dla fanów legend arturiańskich

VERY captivating story and i highly recommend this game if you are starting out in total war type strategy games

[h1] A great game[/h1] The annoyingness does get negated but the enjoyment of the game. it takes awhile to get used to it. but the game is very good, with the element of magic it brings a different dynamic to the total war style game.

Best version of all the King Arthur games for this developer. Good RTS game with a really nice storyline in the singleplayer campaign. Really like the game!
