With so many rogue-lites out there, what makes Kill the Music special? Its rhythm elements are smooth and intuitive, play is broken into 1-2 minute chunks to give you a breather, it's got a good soundtrack, there's just enough story there to make each new difficulty worth defeating, and it sits in the 10-hour window. I found it to be an easy game to start, and would recommend trying the demo to see this for yourself! You can get the basic actions down fast, speeding through the early levels and unlocking new characters. It's a testament to the songs' strong beat that I rarely needed UI feedback to tap, letting me focus on the game, and that I switched to double beats for solo very early and never regretted it. As the difficulty ramps up, it becomes important to know how to play each character and choose synergistic updates. I kept learning new things until my last run, and I only had a few tiny issues (the moving circles tend to get stuck in the top right corner, for example). Kill the Music is a fun game to pick up for a run or two whenever you're in the mood for some good music and active gameplay.

The strong point of this game is the design and that it's absolutely charming and well curated. I find myself hooked into every run, even if at first I had some problems understanding how to change instrument or why the character would change during a run. Once understood how the upgrade works, the game is very enjoyable.
I feel like the more i play the game I less enjoy it. Levels keeps getting longer, gameplay is so repetable that after 3 or 4 songs it's just clicking space and mouse. I don't have to dodge because i kill every enemy instantly. During rounds I have full squad always on "solo" buff and full screen is covered in colours, numbers and effects so it's pointless to even move. On the other hand artstyle is very unique and nice looking. I like it very much. Music is cool but i feel that it fades when everyone clicks for their "solo". Also that stupid snare and plate everytime i click space gets so annoying. It's sad because game has potential and i want to complete it all, but for now I've had my fun. I'll finish it after some updates or if I'll get eaten by boredome.
Simple yet unbelievably excellent. Kill the Music is immediately addictive and so satisfying to nail. A really interesting bullet hell that I can't wait to play more of. The music absolutely slaps and the stage transitions are super stylish and smooth. I usually leave reviews after I've beat a game but this game is massively underrated and I wanna support the devs however I can!
I loved the game, I think it's heavily underrated, the upgrade descriptions could be more clear, there could be some balancing done, but by far my biggest gripe is the lack of steam cloud save. Despite that, it's still one of my favorite rogue lites, being very unique with all the rock stuff and nice drawings (also there are hella baddies to chose from when starting runs)
good and short
.
It's very stylish, the music is good the gameplay is very simple and easy. There isn't much various in the game, its the same level and the same handful of enemy types not that etiher of those are bad its just aht there inst a ton of stuff in the game but it does a what it needs to with what it has.
