Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.86/day in the week to Aug 10 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Reviews
I can't decide which one I like more, this or the first game. Either way, they're both REALLY GOOD!
A great point and click game. I arguably even liked this a bit more then the first one despite I prefer this game when it doesnt include the supernatural too much. Still it works okey. Anyway the atmosphere and setting is good. The story is good. I liked the murder mystery. There are some allright twist too. I liked the locations. I like that you can with a single button highlight possible objects. I found most of the puzzle good and fine with some few I was a little stuck on. All in all the story and the gameplay works. I liked genereally most of the characters too. And I wouldnt mind a game more.

Story is all right. Some cool puzzle ideas. Its a bit dull that most locations have like on cell to move around in. But there is lots of fun item interactions.
somehow even better than 1
this game is great, its everything we had in the original and more, while also fixing some of those small problems, quick tip, if youre back tracking, double click on the exit of the stage to teleport there, i dont remember if that was a feature in the original but i thought it was cool. one major thing i want to give props to is the voice acting, it was good in the original, especially with characters such as
The Crimson One
but in this game there were so many good performances, my personal favourite was
The Old God, but Kathy's mother was also phenomenal
all and all, its worth a buy
Good puzzles, stunning graphic and OK story.
An excellent point and click adventure game. Even better than the first one. If you like this genre of games, this is a must play.
nice mystery game that scratches 90s point and click games summary - you play as kathy rain, an investigator looking into murders of the soothsayer i really enjoyed how this game encourages you to click everything you can think of. and it lets you experiment on combining or interacting with items i also liked how it gives you a recap of the first game at the beginning. it's been a few years since i played the first one, so i don't remember the details. just the gist i wasn't really satisfied with some of the characters or places you go. it felt either like a one time thing that added unnecessary space or they felt unsatisfied. no spoilers, but some characters just...don't exist anymore? what happened to them? it felt like they were just there to advance a moment in the plot and then disregarded at the end. or you go to a place one or two times and then you don't go back. i felt like that could've removed that spot and extended it to other places. it just felt disconnected. i don't remember the original game, but i remember everything connected a lot better and was more cohesive. so i say kathy rain 2 is better gameplay wise, but the story of kathy 1 i enjoyed more additionally, some the puzzles felt a little obtuse. while i really like how some puzzles you had to read in between the lines (like any good investigator would), there were some puzzles that just made me go "what?" and there are a few puzzles where you would only use an item or location one time and be done. it didn't feel like a good use of that puzzle still a really great game. if kathy rain 3 comes out, i'll add it to my wishlist
