Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 22 → 0.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Karma City Police is an inventive narrative adventure that turns the everyday responsibilities of a police dispatcher into something considerably stranger and more entertaining than the premise initially suggests. Developed by mecagames and published by indie.io, the game combines adventure, RPG, simulation, strategy, resource management, and even pinball mechanics within a compact pixel-art experience. Rather than attempting to reproduce police work realistically, it uses the setting as the foundation for an eccentric story filled with humor, unusual personalities, unexpected situations, and a strong appreciation for classic adventure and role-playing games. The player's primary role involves working as a dispatcher at the Karma City Police Station. Victims contact the station with problems, and it becomes necessary to listen carefully, determine what assistance they require, and allocate the appropriate resources. This gives conversations an actual gameplay purpose instead of making dialogue purely decorative. Decisions about how to respond create a light management component, and the process gradually establishes the sense that the player is an active participant in keeping the city functioning. The mechanics are accessible enough to understand quickly, although they still reward paying attention to what callers are saying. Life inside the police station provides another important layer. Players are encouraged to move around and interact with their surroundings rather than remain permanently attached to a dispatch desk. Computers, files, terminals, television broadcasts, and other interactive elements help flesh out the setting while providing additional information and entertainment. Watching the news can add context to events happening around the city, while conversations with eccentric characters give the station its personality. These quieter exploratory sections work particularly well because they break up the dispatching sequences and make the workplace feel like an actual location rather than a collection of menus. Its most unusual idea is undoubtedly the pinball-inspired battle system. Combat does not follow the conventional turn-based format that might be expected from a retro RPG. Instead, encounters incorporate pinball mechanics, giving confrontations an arcade-like quality that sharply contrasts with the dialogue and management portions. It is an unusual combination, but that unpredictability is precisely what gives the game much of its identity. Battles provide a welcome change of pace while preventing the adventure from becoming entirely dependent on conversations and resource allocation. The system is not designed to compete with highly complex action or RPG combat, but it succeeds as a creative extension of the game's eccentric personality. Storytelling is arguably the strongest part of the overall package. The narrative embraces comedy, parody, satire, and strange characters while maintaining enough mystery to encourage continued progression. It rarely treats its police setting with excessive seriousness, preferring situations that can become absurd or unexpectedly funny. The humor will naturally depend on personal taste, but it fits the deliberately unconventional world. There is also a noticeable affection for older games throughout the experience, giving the adventure a nostalgic character without simply copying a single classic formula. The pixel graphics complement that nostalgic approach nicely. Character designs are expressive despite their intentionally limited visual detail, while the environments have enough personality to make exploration worthwhile. The presentation is straightforward rather than technically ambitious, but this works in the game's favor because its appeal comes from style and character rather than graphical spectacle. The retro visuals also fit naturally with the RPG elements and pinball combat. An original soundtrack further strengthens the atmosphere, accompanying the story without distracting from the dialogue-heavy nature of the experience. Another advantage is the variety created by combining several relatively simple systems. Dispatching requires listening and resource management, exploration encourages interaction with the station, conversations advance the narrative, and battles introduce more immediate gameplay. None of these individual components is exceptionally deep when considered independently, but together they produce a distinctive rhythm. The game constantly shifts its focus just enough to keep its modest mechanics from becoming repetitive. This variety is especially valuable for players who enjoy experimental indie games that combine familiar ideas in unexpected ways. There are nevertheless limitations. Anyone expecting a realistic police simulator will find the experience far more whimsical and game-like than procedural. Likewise, players looking primarily for sophisticated RPG progression, complex management systems, or extensive pinball simulation may find those individual elements relatively lightweight. The game works better when approached as a story-focused adventure built from several interconnected mechanics. Its dependence on dialogue and pixel-art presentation also means that players who prefer cinematic storytelling or continuous action may find the pacing slower than they would like. Steam Deck compatibility is officially rated Playable rather than Verified. The game runs successfully on SteamOS, its default graphics configuration performs well, and its functionality is accessible through the standard controller configuration. It also displays appropriate Steam Deck controller icons. The primary issue preventing a stronger compatibility rating is that some in-game text can be small and difficult to read on the handheld display. External Bluetooth or USB controllers may additionally require manually selecting the active controller through the Deck's Quick Access Menu. These are relatively minor inconveniences, so the game remains a practical handheld experience, particularly given its modest visual demands and controller support. Overall, Karma City Police succeeds because it is comfortable being unusual. The combination of dispatch management, narrative adventure, RPG influences, exploration, comedy, resource allocation, and pinball combat sounds almost incompatible on paper, yet the resulting experience develops a surprisingly coherent personality. Its individual systems may lack the depth of games dedicated exclusively to those genres, but their combination makes the adventure memorable. Players interested in quirky pixel games, humorous stories, unconventional mechanics, and retro-inspired indie projects should find this an appealing experience. Its creative identity ultimately matters more than its modest scale, resulting in a charming adventure that takes several familiar concepts and combines them into something refreshingly different. Rating: 7/10
gameplay combination, just nice!
This game feels like a fun B-Movie. Don't expect anything great, but nice to just waste a couple of hours. The pinball and dispatching are nice ideas, but if you expect great gameplay from it you'll be disappointed. See it as B-Movie with interesting bits and you'll have fun. Maybe get it on sale or part of a bundle or something.
Nice and short game with pretty pixel graphics. Story gets dark really quick so if that is your thing, go for it. Pinball battles are fun, wish there would be more of them.
"We DO have justice in Karma City"
Gostei bastante do jogo.
