Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.57/day in the week to Aug 14 → 4.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

aside from many optimisation issues which seems to be huge part of the negative reviews, the game is promising mix of city build and strategy, its great
I'd rather like liking this. In the rough it's Cities meets Civ in the interwar period. The Cities part, bugs aside, is reduced to the economy. People only exist as resources, so that's closer to typical city builders like Anno and the like. All is good so far. Just extremely banal and quite frankly, boring. You're playing a spreadsheet. Technology simply exists and unlocks itself. The maximum amount of decisions in terms of "steering" your civilization is then deciding what your pillar will be once every hour or so depending on growth, with a miniscule effect. Once you get to the world map, so the civilization part, is when it falls apart: it's clunky, your opponents don't seem to exist, it's all just waltz into region barely defended, rinse, repeat. No idea if I'm gonna have to play for another eight hours to see actual gameplay. Now if you can ignore all that and ascribe lots of potential to the game, which I do because it seems some of the not so interesting features were patched in (as in was the game 5 europoors at launch?), there's one much deeper issue left: where is the "Kaiserpunk" in Kaiserpunk? The game being set in the interwar period only means you'll never have flying cars (which wouldn't matter because the city building is a spreadsheet with low poly background animation) and you can't start in the stone age. That's it. What is going to set this game apart? The core premise is "being like games that exist but a different mix of features" with a snappy title slapped onto it that has no bearing on anything other than the very generic visuals.

I've never played a game that crashed more. Several crashes during gameplay, but what makes this game unplayable is the crashes while saving. Crashed on auto-save, so I disabled auto-save. Crashed while saving game over an old save file, so I only save to new game files. Crashed while creating a new save game file. This is not a finished product.
The game has promise, interesting blend of Anno like city builder and Hearts of Iron warfare. But it is riddled with gamebreaking bugs. Can't play and enjoy the game for more than 10min before running into something gamebreaking.
I dig this game. You need a proper IQ to play it. And a lot of nerves and free time. And a decent PC. But worth it!
good game not overly complicated but still feels great
Don't recommend but has growth potential so I'll give it a thumbs up. Anno with a grand strategy layer. Very rough gameplay wise, hopefully they smooth things out.
I love it <3
Few years ago my favourite game on GOG was Patron, from these same devs. For some reason I believed Kaiserpunk was similar game just set in a different time period. Well, it’s not! Kaiserpunk is much more “adult” and serious game, set in a grim era. Gameplay is lightyears more extensive but also harder to learn. Kinda love seeing how a dev team matures through their games. Sadly, the scope of game is also so big that few elements just aren’t fleshed out as they should. For example, if you make surrounding factions angry by attacking them, expect an aggressive retaliation, and if you realize attack was a mistake and you want to appease them through diplomacy, it likely won’t work. They will pursue the war with you until you yield or they are eliminated completely. Not sure why we even have diplomacy if every war, once started, turns into dead or alive crusade. Unlike Patron, Kaiserpunk requires parallel thinking and setting up long term goals much before you act in a rush. Hasty decisions here can have dire consequences. Game is fantastic mental gymnastics, and if you’re also ready to look above some bugs and imperfections, can be recommended.
