Chu chu fall in love?
wanted to play this for awhile and was really excited about trading a key for it, but it's pretty disappointing, flat, and repetitive. it was fun and i originally thought it was cute and it made me smile. but then when i went to 100% it started to get tedious and irksome real quick. especially with the game's tendency to recycle questions. while some of the jokes are funny, the humor gets rather corny at times. there is no proper plot regression and every 'route' in the game is pretty much the same. i think the most fascinating twist in the game was the bird flu thing going on, but that was it. the art and the character designs are fun and adorable, however. i love how gigachu goes by chu/chus pronouns by default. on that topic, i like the diverse choice of pronouns too! just wish this game was better, especially since i love kaijus and think they're pretty sick. my rating, overall, is a 2.5!
This was a short but sweet game, all of the story lines are so cute! It worked on handheld on steamdeck for the most part except when I had to press A, but just pressing it five or six times got it to move on and it didn't cause too much of an issue with the overall gameplay ♥
Gigachu is adorable hehe
Repetitivo porém divertido! Turpio foi meu kaiju favorito.
Just a silly, cute dating simulator that I love. A plethora of pronoun options are available to the player, and the love interests (kaiju) are diverse in that respect, too. There's also neurodiverse representation and an ace-friendly route. Fun rom-com tropes are in play, and the game has a great sense of humor.
adorable. i'd love a date where I can just break things with someone
Super cute little game, 10/10
Godzilla gay no noooooo
It's a very cute concept but I wanted to like this game a lot more than I actually did. I appreciate that there's absolute gender anarchy/inclusiveness (as befits Kaiju) and some emotionally thoughtful dynamics at times. But this is really a bare-bones game with almost zero depth. The entire game is (1) pick one of six Kaiju - you are then dating this one for the rest of the game, (2) answer multiple choice questions to establish compatibility, (3) win/lose. Your 'dates' happen at various monuments, but your choice of location just sets the background art, it doesn't effect anything. No mini-games. No branching - each Kaiju has one and only one ending, or at least that's my conclusion after doing two of six. Dialogue was a little witty and there were some good puns but (puns aside) no humor. The tiny handful of opportunities for emotional depth (such as when your date admits their biggest vulnerability) are blink-and-you'd-miss-it throw away dialogue lines with zero follow-through.
