Cars. They are coming, they are alive, and they need blood. Trapped in a junkyard, trying to escape. An interesting take on the spooky genre - it works surprisingly well and fun for what it is. https://youtu.be/NloJakgFgXE
https://youtu.be/Gr_awdcDroQ I gotta say I had low expectations from just first glance and the price of this game. The goofy idea of killer cars is what made me want to try it out. It blew my mind how much fun this was. It's a pretty basic idea at the beginning to just escape the junkyard but the enemy mechanics change as you progress through the levels and it increases with difficulty. It also gave me a few jump scares. Also the last thing I expected to find while playing this was an interesting story but it has one. And it's only $2. Overall I would recommend trying it out. I absolutely loved this game. As an avid fan of this style of horror involving cars I'm so happy to see it put into a video game. The developer did a great job telling the short but neat story and is totally worth the 5 dollars! Support small devs and give this a play!
I know a lot of people will turn this game down, but, I have bought his other games and really enjoyed this one! Although it looks to be a silly game that isn't worth the price of $2, it is worth that price. It EXCEEDS expectations of when you see it for the first time. Sure, there are flaws but, what do you expect? If you would care to see a shortened review of the game: https://youtu.be/h8ukP26_IWM click that YouTube link. I enjoyed this horror game and think you will too. of course the scares get repetitive after a while but you get bang for your buck so, I don't see a problem! Thank you for reading, if you have any questions leave it on the video above.
I did a small sponsored stream for this game (for transparency) but really enjoyed the concept and think the game has a lot of potential if it continues to be refined in future updates. I think the sound design of the cars and the music (as simplistic as it is) is very effective. I would say adding a "hard" mode or something where the game has darker lighting or more randomized key placement would add some great replay. The ET placement level was the only low point of an otherwise effective short horror indie title. Worth checking out if you're ok with the length, but for the price, it's worth the brief ride. a fun game, loved to stream it to my friends in discord good short story and we hope to see more about this in the future
For such a simple game it gets scary real fast. The first level isn't so bad but lordy, level 2 onwards is just..Teleporting cars and it gets crazy. Plenty of high paced moments where your kind of just lost for words trying to escape. The last level is insanity and it is very easy to die if your not paying attention. I got one of the endings unintentionally and theres multiple endings apparently. Its a short game but Its pretty solid for what its worth. At 1.99$ it is pretty interesting experience. Overall, definitely recommend people play this just to experience why big metal boxes with wheels that move fast are scary. Playthrough: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eTA8tMwGvIU
Junkyard Fury is a simplistic indie horror game that does well for what it tries to achieve. It may not be an incredible work of art, but it stands out for its heart. It's short, yes, however it's pretty scary and also pretty fun!
