Got this on sale for 41p or thereabouts reduced from 79p. The basic idea of small animated groups of soldiers fighting on fairly bland terrain is a good one, teaching basic tactics, and the use of counter units. Well it doesn't really do that. The Devs have settled for minecraft quality graphics. Once you've selected your forces and started the Battle allI think you can do is watch. So as far as can tell you can't flank an opposing line to blitz missile troops, and combat itself seems to be everything attacking the nearest thing, which might be an actual design feature or it might just be a pretty poor choice for how to simulate combat. So it looks bad, sounds worse and doesn't really simulate much of anything. It will only really work as a game if you think the animation is appealing. Although this really does look like someones genuine best effort to create something good I can't quite bring myself to recommend it.
It's nothing more than an empty shell
As it's not even in Early-Access, I don't have any more hope for the game. I waited long and tried to give it multiple chances. The problem is: It's no fun, it's not strategic and there are only 3 units the whole time. That's boring. I played trough like 3 times by now and everytime it started to bore the hell out of me after about 10 levels. I am sorry, I normally ain't someone who negatively writes about games which could get better over time or games which the devs are actively behind (Also if it's 'just' 0,79€). But still...

Crap game. Don't listen to good reviews, most of them must have been paid reviews. -Little number of units (3 units only) -No upgrades -Terrain doesn't play any role -Strategy plays little to no role -Difficulty is only that the computer outnumbers you or have stronger units, and you can't upgrade yours. -Crappy and buggy graphics -No sandbox mode etc etc... Pros: NONE
Battle Simulator.... Is it a copy of TABS?! YUS. This is just a copy of Totally Accurate Battle Simulator only 10 times worse. So no. It's not worth a buy.
For the price I have to admit its a fun, 1 maybe 2 hours of entertainment. However, it is extremely bland and boring. Cons: -EXTREMELY limited pool of troops to use - At some point it feels like the Ai is steam rolling you despite the fact that the side of the field it's fighting on seems like its on your advantage - Hills and terrain play no role - the firs twenty or so levels can be beaten with axman spam but suddenyl at somepoint axmen just stop being entirely viable except as meatshields - formation placement is tedious and borderline frustrating - I understand the point of the game is to place your troops in a way that, once the battle starts they run straight into combat. This works for the first missions but ast some point no matter the spacing or formations your men simply run for the biggest blob on the field (no way to do a proper encirclement. -Not sure if this is a bug but after a few losses on a later level, the area i could place my troops on seemed to decrease to the point that i could only place my army at the very back of the field. If this game was priced any higher than a dollar it would be a waste of your money, However as cheap as it is, it is a worthy introduction to this type of strategy game. Pros: - cheap! - Fun when you are losing battles by a man or two, quite exciting - the mechanics of the troops is quite good (health/speed/damage etc)
Don't waste your money, even if it is just $1 or less than that. I would rather save it, for when you buy something else next. I was an idiot back then, and for some reason decided to purchase this. Too late to refund, but the game is just boring, and not fun. Even if it was free, I would not install so I can save space.
Has potential, worth the dollar it's selling for, not much more. There's not much in the way of strategy in this game. Unit composition makes little difference. If you could give groups of units just a little guidance (who to attack or preplanned direction of travel), this game would do that much better. It's early access, so I give it thumbs up (but maybe wait a while). Wald
Its not a simulator. There are better games than this...
