Jaxon The Thief is an ironically named "template flip", that is to say, it's a "game" that has been produced by copying a game template or using a game construction kit, and changing a few things. In this case it was a game construction kit/template for doing a simple retro platformer game. This is deplorably low quality bundle trash. No professional effort was made in terms of game development, copying a template/using a game construction kit requires no talent, and unsurprisingly produces products that have little to no value as games, especially when compared to the work of professional developers who create genuine products for gamers. It's almost as bad as an outright asset flip. This is nothing but a lazy, greedy cash grab and should be avoided.

I think this might actually be the best game I've ever played. I have a friend called Jaxon and this game reminds me of him. Somehow him and the main character give off very similar vibes.

Would rather watch a child drowning than play more of this game. Other review was false, it's level 9 where it becomes unbearably toxic and bad. This game promotes police brutality, shoddy security systems and endorses Joe Biden over Bernie Sanders (in essence). Honestly, I wish the aspect ratio was THINNER so there would be less of a level needed to complete. Overall, 1 spinning laser moustache or semen thing out of Ocean's 12

I'm not seeing the framedrop the other reviewer is experiencing but the jumping is super sensitive. Jaxon jumps like 5x a sec when I hit the space key. haha. Another problem that I'm seeing is my monitor is 16:9 but the game keeps running 4:3 full screen with black borders on the sides. There are no in-game settings that I can see to change this. Other than that, the graphics are clean, game runs very smoothly and the keyboard controls are simple and sane. It even runs natively in linux which is a plus!

this game would be average at best. But every time you jump the frame rate drops from 60 to 30 and the jumping is ruined by invisible walls in the sky. you also have so little to dodge enemies that it's almost impossible to complete after level 7.
