Not worth the price. As much as I appreciate artistic games, there is no interaction in this one, it is absolutely terribly laggy/not optimized. On top of that, the textures were low-quality, the sound too quiet and too loud at different moments, there were no settings accessible, no instruction telling you there is no interaction so if you press a button the game stops. It would not have felt like a rip-off at least if it were free. Go try "Dreams of Dali" instead, it is free, and as an artistic VR game, thousands times better than this one.

Follow Main group
 Follow Second group
 Follow Third group
and discover more reviews from me.

Wow! I hope you will continue your job and revive all famous paintings like this! Thank you very much! Great experience!
As a short, free VR demo this was ok but now they ask £2.09 for 8 mins of film clip (you have no input, you just sit and watch). Glad I got it when free then reviewed while the robbery was in progress.
The VR art experience Isle of the Dead takes its point of referrence in the famous painting of the same name by the Swiss Symbolist painter Arnold Böcklin (1827–1901) combined with the symphonic poem of the same name by the russian composer Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873 - 1943) inspired by a black and white reproduction of said artwork. There isnt really much to say about it execept its a short journey that begins in a living room that starts falling into pieces and then sets you out on a boat trip reminescent to the mythos of the tale of charon (the ferryman) carrying you to your final destination on the isle of dead. Personally i allways liked the Böcklin painting and for that matter also likes some of Rachmaninoffs music so i think if any potential buyers has an interest in those two legendary artists this could very well be a good buy for them to make. Its well made and its nice to be inserted into a living version of Böcklins famous painting. The price is a bit steep though compared to the length of the experience as it only last around 10 minutes so i'd recommend picking it up in a sale..
Its a very short ~8min experience, with no interaction. You start in an apartment that starts to "deconstruct" into the sea, in a very very cool transision, you then kinda sail towards the isle of the dead, All of this while a narrator explains what the Painting is and meant and its deeper meaning. IDK about all that artsy stuff, but the experience itself was pretty cool, the emptiness of the sea felt really cool, and the narration was spot on, although subtitles and more languages would be appreciated. Overall, a great short experience, i honestly wish more painting and art could get this treatment in VR. (im glad im seeing more of these!)
