ISLAND OF VALKYRIES

The artwork is okay despite being extremely obviously AI in a bad way, but the gameplay loop is as follows: 1. Click one of five static locations. One of which is a shop menu. 2. Talk to a character you've met several times before and have the exact same dialogue loop with that character as if you had never met them. 3. Click attack until their hp goes down and you can have a dialogue with them. This dialogue never changes despite repeated battles though you may unlock new options if you buy stat buffs. The video has some pretty goofy-looking animations when you hit them, that's probably the funniest part of the game. 4. If you've grinded enough money to afford sufficient stat buffs to defeat that character (or get lucky and they miss every attack because every attack has a chance to miss on both sides), earn a small amount of money. You'll unlock one of two scenes depending on dialogue choices. 4. Repeat until you have enough money to afford enough stat buffs to see all the scenes. This crappy gameplay loop and the immersion-breaking dialogue (not just repetition, but also 4th-wall breaking self awareness delivered emotionless and deadpan) completely kills the gameplay experience. The transitions between scenes are awful, too, it's really just one janky menu after another. It's neither fun to play or fun to read.
