To answer the games title, no, it's not wrong, you hit up girls in a same interest territory, nothing wrong about that. Now DO NOT get this game at its base price, I don't know who decided this will be worth 40 Euro dollars, but it's not, simple as that. I played far better action RPGs for almost 1/4 the base price than this. Wait for some deep sale. Aside from that, I found enjoyement in the game and as someone who never watched the anime, even found the story quite interesting. From my understanding this just follows the first season of which there seem to be 5 plus a movie and some other episodes. As such the ending of the game felt a bit abrupt and it left a lot of things unresolved or at the very least, you know there's meant to be way more. Given there are no other games following the main plot, you'll be left with having to go watch the anime if you'll want more. With that out of the way. The main plot revolves around 2 main characters and you switch between each one after completing 2 story missions. It feels a bit strange even if it makes sense since they have two different paths that sometimes converge. As both of your main characters have separate "economy", whatever you buy with one, the other doesn't have, if you grind out money with one, the other will not benefit from. Whatever weapons you unlock in the store, the other won't have unlocked. So in a way, you're doing double the job the game doesn't get super grindy but it still felt a bit odd. As this is an RPG it should be noted that your stat increases are tied to story progression, meaning you get exactly the stats the game wants you to have, no amount of grinding helps. What you can do is level up your weapon and armor, potentially get new ones. Not a lot of freedom, your active skills are pre-determined too. You kind of get freedom of choice with what kind of consumables you take as there's plenty but you only have room for 4 types (9 of each) but their impact, at least during the story is minimal, barely had to use any. There's a post-game that I have yet to dive in and I've no idea if you somehow get stat increases there too allowing for more of a standard RPG feel but your story progression is pretty much on rails. For the gameplay, it's pretty barebones. Pre-built dungeon floors with minimal random generation (or maybe they're just randomly chosen variations) with various goals to achieve but it's either kill enemies or pickup items, sometimes with a timer. The combat itself is also very rudimentary, one quick attack, one heavy attack, spell, dodge or dash button and then your consumables. The skill ceiling practically touches the floor here, you barely end up using heavy attack as it animation locks you in place for too long giving enemies free hits. Same goes for your 6th hit in your spammy attack which makes you stay in place for a bit too long for some enemies to get a free hit. So you end up using 5 quick attacks, running a bit away and coming back for 5 more until the enemy is dead. Bosses felt a bit clunky with no real challenge until the last one which felt at least a bit cheap and I am not even sure the hitbox on it is correct. Graphics are... well they're there, nothing to write home about. It doesn't offend really, It would certainly be nice if the Visual novel scenes had L2D but my guess is this game didn't have much of a budget to work with. 3D gameplay features chibi characters and monsters with cartoony style but low fidelity textures. As for the music, that's actually one thing that stood out in this title as great, great soundtrack, if the rest of the game was on the same level, it'd be a fantastic game. The story was something that kept me playing, as well as the fact that I could kind of brain off grind some "practice" dungeon runs while watching youtube videos, probably did too much for the story mode but hey. The main character is a terminal simp, which actually gives him the power to increase his stats incredibly fast, has a huge crush on an established kuudere adventurer that saves his life early on and is surrounded by at least 4 other girls that have the hots for him in one way or another. It's amusing at times, at times cringe but in the good kind of way and it has quite a few good plot points. I wish the game had more of the story in it as I don't watch much anime these days and would like to see more here. In conclusion. This would be a fair 5/10 game, maybe 4/10, below average for the genre for sure, I'd give it a neutral rating if I could but the "mixed" for all reviews reflect it well enough. I do think there's enjoyement to be found here but lower your expectations. Quite and intriguing story and great music that accompany a mediocore game. Plus for no bugs during my playthrough. If you want to try, wait for a big discount, this is not worth the asking base price.
I don't care what Freya does to Bell down the line. She could get it regardless. I do NOT care. Seven days of the week, 24/7 365
Your paying 40$ for a phone game that's not even worth paying for, just don't-
You'd have more fun if you quarry all day in the mines or work as a manual laborer. This isn't a game but a torture to your mind and body. Danmachi is in my top 5 anime yet my love for the anime can't even save on how atrocious this game is. DO NOT BUY EVEN ON SALE. Trust me.
This game is suck!!! (if you like this anime, just go)
Is it fun? Sort of. The controls are stiff and most animations have severe ending lag. Is it worth the price? Not a chance. It really feels like a port of a F2P mobile game, or at most a port of a $5 PSP digital exclusive. Like others mentioned, the keyboard controls are awful, and a controller just makes the previously mentioned stiffness more noticeable. Planning on beating it eventually, but hearing that the story just rips season 1 of the show, I doubt I'll have much to comment on there beyond, "why didn't they try even half as hard as the SAO games?" DON'T PAY FULL PRICE for this. If you adore the show and want to collect different media of the series, MAYBE consider $10.
I remember getting it on a huge discount and good I did, as $40 is way too overpriced for this game. the content is split between the story mode and the post-story mode, the dungeon part of the post-story in understandable. But the dating part should've seen in story mode, just with part of the character to 'go out' being locked after a certain chapter. The gameplay is small and simple but not a lot of content. You go around a dungeon to either find items, obtain items from monster, take down monster or get to a certain floor. The map are randomized but all are clearly premade with the 'story' & 'practice' quest, and only in the post-story you get procedural generation maps. But on the monster side of thing, some time they won't spawn unless you stand on a very specific spot of that location. Most of the boss are pretty easy, but for the case of the Minotaur when he's ramming, you just bash both the attack and healing. It super easy to get rich quick so equipment aren't something to worry about. Visual Novel part of it is the whole first season of the anime (notice quickly as I was having the anime play in the background), so I didn't bother with it. Only the 'go out', 'hot spring' and 'co-sleeping' are the only things that are new. I highly highly suggest waiting for a sale for this game, as $40 is too overprice for the content you're getting.
🎮 Reseña de Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Infinite Combate

Resumen del Juego
Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?
